I Think I Figured Out Why RightStuf Does Their "Weekly Specials..."

I think they take whichever items fell out of boxes and got run over by the forklift and throw them up on the website as their "Weekly Special."

"Hey Huey, rub them thar tire marks off that Lupin DVD case and throw it in with them weekly specials, it probably ain't hurt none!"

After I get an RMA number for this first box, I'm very fucking tempted to just refuse all the other items right at the post office as they show up. :very_ang:

Wow... I've NEVER gotten a damaged item from Rightstuf... I've ordered THOUSANDS of dollars of stuff from them and I've never even had a box damaged in shipping (though I've likely just jinxed myself). I recommend giving them a chance, but I can see how you'd be pissed.

There was one time I ordered 3 ADV discs that they had labeled on the site as "damaged." They were DIRT cheap, so I said what the hell. I received them and they were in PRISTINE condition. Very odd, but whatever.

Although part of some of the Weekly Specials being weekly specials is because they know boxsets for series are coming out so they want to move the old stock cheaper.

Hope all your other stuff shows up intact. If you decide to not give them a chance, I understand, but I can't stop buying from them yet, as I've never had a problem.

I ordered the 14pc full set of Robotech DVD's from them a few weeks ago, for $3 each. All of them were in perfect order.

Rightstuf kept sending me emails warning me that they shipped out a partial shipment, and I got them a few days later. As soon as they got more pcs in my order... email and shipment. They packed them very well too.

The only thing I was dissapointed with, was that I asked for USPS and got UPS (which is a major pain in the ass b/c they never leave the damn packages out).

If anyone cares, here is their shipping method explained:

We offer Priority shipping and Economy via the Post office.
We also offer UPS Ground and 2nd Day Air.

Our system automatically generates a partial shipment for the following
reasons:
1.) 50% of the order is in-stock and allocated.
2.) $100.00 or more of the order is in-stock and allocated.
3.) 1 or more items are in-stock and allocated for 45+ days.
4.) We also give our customers the option of paying an additional ship
fee if they would like a partial shipment.

I pimp them with a purpose, but I've ordered thousands worth of stuff too... NEVER had a problem. Worst case scenario, I've had discs that were loose from the spindles (same story with any retailer), and they've always offered to replace those...

Sorry man. I've had the best of luck with them.

Going to contact them today, just got back from a trip to Anchorage. More of my order is in, more of it is going to have to be sent back too. :blow_top:

EDIT: Figures, their site is down right now. :very_ang:

Stupid question, but is it damaged in the mail or is it damaged before it's stuck in the box? I've ordered well over 200 DVDs and other stuff from them and have NEVER had a problem, not even the mail man fucking up a box. I've likely just jinxed myself, but oh well...

The packages actually arrived relatively intact, the stuff looks like it was beat to shit before it was shipped.
