I was looking into this neat old computer, and it seems like something I would be interested in. Tons of great games that were better than the console ports came out on this thing, including many arcade ports of Sega, Namco and Konami games.

They are a little pricey and hard to acquire, so I was wondering what actual system owners thought. Are they durable? Are they easy to work with interface wise? My biggest concern would be the operating system. I know the keyboard is in both English and Japanese, but is the OS easy to navigate?

Now you know why I want one! There's a complete setup on ebay right now, but it's going to go for quite a bit more than I can afford right now.

Complete setup on ebay right now, even includes the monitor and some games. It's only at $280 with 6 days to go.

He speaks the truth... especially when most of the units on ebay are coming from Japan anyways.

Still, I figure if I can use the original games on my PC through an emulator, there's no pressing reason to buy an older PC/monitor to take up space I don't have...

Good luck, though! I've just started getting into FM Towns/X6800/MSX stuff in the last couple weeks too. Lots of cool stuff out there.
