ive never seen ncs markup anything more than a few dollars for what they get it, most of the time the dont even make any money on stuff like LE sets or neo carts, i think i remember peter saying they made 3.50 off each aes cart they sell retail.

Here is a direct link :

http://www.ncsxshop.com/cgi-bin/shop/SLPS-91440.html

even though it comes with a 4th disc and a thicker book , I dont see why it would be 50$ , american releases of Greatest Hits versions arent descriminant on price because of multiple discs .

And Books versions are supposed to be even CHEAPER in comparison because they are a 3rd generation of the game , "Best for Family" being the 2nd generation .

My local import store is cheaper on just about everything compared to NCS. (different distribution maybe?) NCS use to be cheap, not sure what's going on with them lately. Xbox Hori joysticks at NCS are $68 and my local store sells them for $50. Go figure.

welcome to the worls of actually making a living. it is next to impossible that there markup on most of thier items (especialy neo home carts) is only a few bucks.

But they get these items Wholesale ...they should make the usual markup ....... this seems a bit for me .

NCS has always been a good company. I doubt that they are ripping any one off.

I thought in a lot of cases they had to pay retail for some items, then mark them up even more.

I believe that is true.

Not sure if it's still the same... but they did the same thing for the Suikogaiden rereleases. And and one point, they had the first volume selling for 20 bucks more than the second...

Seems they just don't make a huge effort to undercut eBay prices, if you know what I mean. Wait it out a little bit and I'm sure they'll drop the price.

Well it is not as bad as I thought , I feel bad for ranting now , I found this picture on Ebay , as I am sure some of you know Japanese products carry the SRP ((Suggested Retail Price)) on the product itself , If you look at this picture on the lower left corner on the spinecard is the SRP it lists 3,500 Y wich is roughly 35$ .....give or take a few bucks ,not sure what the current Yen to Dollar ratio is at the moment . so They are a 15$ markup on the item if they paid retail and probably 30$ if they are paying wholesale . At least its not as bad as I thought it was ...anyway here is the pic :

What's wrong with huge markups? Companies, just like individuals have to make livings, no one is forcing you to buy them so quit whining. Maybe you can get them cheaper at Buyrite.

then don't buy it from them. simple enough, right?

a lot of it depends on supply and demand. if a lot of people are showing inerest in that game, they will up the price a bit to earn a little more profit. it's NORMAL. it's also possible that they only produced a certain number of them--which would make it tougher to get, which in turn means a markup for you.

check other game sites and good luck on it.
