OK put the negative thoughts aside and think. Is it worth putting out a petition to have SNK Neo Geo USA listen to the fans and translate Samurai Shodown RPG and put it on PS2? I think after 7 years when RPG's have come a long way, I think it's worth it.

I have it and it seems like a reat games. too bad it is virtually unplayable on the neo cd (I have not tried the PS and saturn revs yet). if they could translate it and just add a little more animation it would rock.:buttrock:

there is a group of Translators that are working on a Translation for the game. DeJap is their name. They've done Translation hacks for several SNES games like Star Ocean (OMG great game) and Tales of Phantasia. (OMG2).

ANyway they've been working on a SSRPG translation, but I couldnt begin to explain how they will get it done. Obviously though you would need to have a burned copy of the CD, since the data on the CD is untouchable until its an ISO.

Samurai RPG is trully wonderful! I beat both storylines twice, and still want to go through again! The Sat and PS versions are horrid (especially the SAT version). Yep, the Game hs theWORST loading time of any Neo CD (it makes Last Blade 2 look speedy), but it's worth it!!! And yes, it should be translated!

And the sprites for the characters are just too cool.

Yeah I know about Dejap. They're pretty much dead. Despite they had the means to come out with a teaser English screenshot, they said they been working on it two years ago and still today no one has ever found out Neo Geo CD encoding.

Now that I've had some time to think about it. Considering what happened to Samurai Shodown 5 with the story mode taken out because of lazy translating, I think SSRPG might look a little too slim to be introduced to a US audience. Or y'all think that the characters might be talking Feudal style? Like a japanese equivalent of medieval that's beyond a English speaker's comprehension?
