Classicly I am most into side scrolling actions games. Ones where you have a badass character movng from left to right (or visa-versa in variants), with a variety of power ups. I like these games to be on a single plane, so i'm not talking a-la Golden Axe, Burning Knuckle here ( though for sure i dig them too), here i'm touting th likes of Shinobi, Castlevania and they're respective a-likes and sequels. Valis in particular is a favourite series of mine.

In general a game with great grahics (considering) and music wins for me.
