I don't "collect" games anymore cause I find it a waste of time and space.

I do however, collect Akira-related merchandise.
Other than that, I'm currently busy collecting rare tool posters from concert venues, etc.
They're all pretty bizarre.

For example:

I collect carpets, no pictures though.

They are pretty good as they don't take up space, they are on the floor, they are pratical, I like the way they look and you have a defined limit based on the size of your place. I have five just now and no more floor space.

Pat answer: Souls.

I don't really collect games, either (I actually haven't bought a game in about a year, now, which is one reason for my absence)...I guess I don't really "collect" anything, now. To me, collecting something is when you buy it "just to buy it" and for no other reason than to just have it sit on your shelf.

I buy books, comic books and DVDs regularly, but I would't say I collect them, though.

That TOOL poster's cool, by the way.

Lately, I've just been collecting concert and movie tickets. I'll take pics when I get back home this weekend most likely.

Late 2003 - 2004 shows I've seen:

October 3 - Supergrass - At: The Social
November 11 - The Sounds, Rooney - At: The Social
December 11 - Better Than Ezra - At: HOB Orlando
January 11 - Social Distortion - At: HOB Orlando
January 12 - Guided By Voices - At: The Social

Plan on seeing the upcoming Joan Jett and Elvis Costello shows.

Figures i love figures Devilman and Guyver mostly but others sneak in like spawn, DBZ, Jojo, Godzilla (quite a few actually )....pic is of the 3 fewture Devilman figures from the Nirasawa OVA.

I'm upto about Devilman 35 figures from 3 inch to 10 inch to keyrings. ( This is the only pic i have online and my camera is'nt charged )

Guyver figures are'nt really figures best i can get is the Maxfactory models, there pre painted and you just have to trim them and glue them. Only have 1 at the moment that being Aptom V, there ridiculously expensive on Ebay compared to in Japan so i have holded off them for a while.

guyver.JPG

Recently released Guyver 21 came with a 12 inch Max Factory Guyver 1 so it was a must for me to get :)

Apart from figures i buy alot of Manga, jap or not again Guyver and Devilman Come First DBZ sneaks in alot :D and i recently bought a guyver cell with sketch, so i am moving in to picking them up too.

I "collect" DVDs. Of course, when you say "collect" you make it sound like you don't do anything with them. I do, however, watch my DVDs on a regular basis. My collection is currently 1168 I think.

I also have a few Anime/Game related statues, along with some artbooks and what have you.

I guess I "collect" games as well, though I play them as well, so it's not just "collecting."

I'll take pictures of all of my DVDs as soon as I get a chance and have the time to post them.

So, how is collecting Akira-related merchandise a more efficient use of your time and space? Just curious.

Books

But collecting books is probably one of the most potenially expensive hobbies I can imagine.

Right now my book collection is relatively small and modest, without alot of rare or expensive titles. The nicest pieces I have are a 1963 British edition of 'The Hobbit' which is only the second revised version (The Hobbit was revised extensively 3 times by tolkien to bring it's story more in line with The Lord Of the Rings), a library bound edition of "Wolf Hunting in France during the reign of Louis the XIV- The story of the 'Beast of the Gauvedan" the only historical account ever published in Engish on this subject. And all 3 original Arkham House editions of the works of H.P. Lovecraft.

When I actually have gobs of expendable $$$ I am going to build up a nice collecction though, especially with authentic works from the past on stuff like witchcraft and the occult.
