Favorite Developer?

Since I'm incredibly bored, I figured I'd try and get a consensus on what everyone's favorite developer is, this includes their entire library, not just their latest track record. Also bear in mind choices like 'Sony' factor in first-party licensed developers (Naughty Dog, Polyphony Digital, etc).

Me and Sega have what you might call a love/hate relationship. In spite of Sonic Heroes, they are still my favorite gaming company.

Nintendo wins this by a mile, to the point where it's practically unfair lumping them with everyone else.

Mario and Zelda dynasties (with Metroid thrown in for good measure) > Everything else.

Yeah, I tried to think of some PC developers, but all I could come up with was iD software. I completely forgot Blizzard. I'm not a PC gamer so I'm not real familiar with the top developers out there.

It seemed kind of lop-sided to have 13 console developers and 1-2 PC developers.

I wasn't sure 'tween konami/square/treasure

voted Treasure cause they always try to keep a so called originality
square and enix ....I used to love'em long ago and considered my favourites
square has completely screwed it up
I mean FFX=meh

I hope enix programmer won't follow same path
DW 8 looks pretty nice btw

So'k I was just teasin really.

Plus I forgot Epic on that list which really deserves to be there, along with about a bazillion others. Which is probably why it's a good thing you didn't put PC devs on there anyway.

Konami needs fighting games though... I still don't understand why they got related with... Bloody Roar 4... that game is horrible, gameplay-wise.

JHendrix, haha, and I didn't use any text formatting in that post! The thing is that I dislike most, if not all "western" developers... and I hate 99% of PC games.

Filling up the power gauge wasn't hard at all, if you chip away with a lot of lk and lp pokes. It kinda plays like FFS with the way you chain many pokes into moves and such (doesn't matter if they block, it builds up the same). Your gauge fills up a lot faster when your life is lower though. It's crazy if you have 1/4th life with Shredder how you can fill your gauge up over and over and over again.

It was one of the better 2d fighters for it's time. Still rocks today.

I voted Sega, but it was a tough decision between them and Nintendo.

I think the poll has a great list of developers with the exception of Rockstar Games. Everyone else can stay.
