Really trying to avoid being raped on shipping, so I'd like to pick up. I would really really like to get my hand on a Candy Cab (prefer super 29, but a 25 would do), and the number of slots is really secondary for me (although I think Candy's are kinda made for 4 slot...i digress). Anyway, post or pm if you've seen one for sale or if one is taking up room in your house. Cheers.

Yep, its a vry nice machine.

The cab is located at "The Gametrader" in St. Louis Mo. The price is $650. It has a bright 25" monitor, and is the japan sit-down style machine, which is great, cause standing sucks while playing at long intervals.

for an extra $100 it will include a motherboard and 4-5 games.

if your interested, shoot me a pm and I will give you his contact info.

Um. Doesn't that seem a little high for a 25? I mean, I guess it depends on the condition and what not....any input on this, Neo Experts? Not dissing you or your friend, btw, neo geo 2, just don't wanna get screwed. I'm sure you understand.

Thanks in advance. Anyway, PM coming, neo...

Too damn much. I bought my 29 with a 4 slot and 4 games for almost that. After a little touch up, it's in WONDERFUL condition (see my paint thread in the tech section).

I say, keep looking. That model always looked a little silly to me. That top part looks.... cheap.

What part of Indiana are you from, Kubikiri, if you don't mind me asking.

No problem. I'm in Lafayette. Purdue Student.

Cool, I know some people up there.

Like you, I am an Indiana resident looking for a cab, kind of anyway. I live down in Bedford, which is pretty close to Bloomington.

Awesome. I'm going to Law School at IU here in a year or so...

So far, the Cab hunt has born few fruits...still optimistic. Only been hunting a short time and I'm thinking about hitting a flea market or an arcade warehouse or something. There's a guy in Peru Indiana that has about 1000 stand up arcade games....I'm hoping to hook up with that guy...<shrug> I'm determined. It'll happen eventually. Oh, btw, thanks for the input on that price business, gang. preciate it.

If you have a Bloomington phone book, or can access one, there are a few arcade dealers in the town. I don't know how good they are, or what kind of stock they have, or even if they sell, but you might try it out. There is even one in Bedford, who had a Neo cab, for $360 bucks. But when I went to look at it, I discovered it was a conversion cab of the lowest quality. He was going to throw in a few MVS carts with the deal, but it still wasn't worth it.

I'm interested in this dealer in St. Louis though...

Its really not a bad price if you're close, one from Arcade Infinity is going to be around 400 plus a gazillion dollars shipping, so its really not a bad deal.

I don't know if six hours one way really constitutes "close" but I certainly haven't ruled it out...just haven't made enough calls in Indiana yet....plus, if I'm gonna spend a ton of money, I'd really rather get a 29....
