One of the best times I enjoyed in gaming was when the Dreamcast came out with Blue Stinger

Man,I loved that game...(I still have it)

I bought that as one of the launch titles, though the disc I received was one of the bad loading discs that EB replaced with replacement discs sent from the company.
I was pissed when I could get it to load only to find out it was a bad disc after complaining to EB..

Did anyone else go through that..?
I returned it to EB and they had replacement discs in white disc envelopes..

I played that game to it's end and I enjoyed it though maybe others hated it..(just my opinion)

Did you like it or hate it..?
What's your opinion of the game and did you finish the game..?

EDIT)What Games did you buy on release day..?

I personally LOVED the game Chris1, only problem is I only ever beat the Import copy I had for my JPN Dreamcast (back then I had to have the JPN everything "First" before everyone else like a good 6 months sooner, so everyone was at my crib, gamin' and gulpin' down JOLT COLA)... thus I have no idea what the storyline was actually about other than what I read Synopsis guides to. I liked it quite a bit though.

I still play my Dreamcast quite often and I'm always looking for new titles to get immersed in. I've seen Blue Stinger several times at used game stores and internet shopping websites and I've never given it a chance. The fact that it already looks like a good time, and the two of you give it some props intrigues me. I may snag this game from half.com or something and give it a try. Hopefully it won't be a bad loading disc.

Wow. And I thought myself and a small circle of friends here were the only Blue Stinger fans out there. Nice to see we aren't alone. Love the way Dogs can put on a shirt and automatically know how to fight in the style written on it. :)

Elliot + Tazer + force feedback = fun times.

It was also quite neat. Until Buffy (the first one) came along (oddly enough), it had my favorite melee combat of all the 3D adventure games. It was kind of a survival horror, but more so full of comedy. Nice tarantino-style humor among other things. The humor and bit o camp carried right over into their next game, Illbleed. I still like the monster design of BS. You just can't beat the beatdown at the happy mart. That jingle still rings in my head.

I love that damn game! Beat it three times in the early, lean times era of the import DC. Dogs in the Kung-Fu shirt rocks.
Love the scene in the sauna...

Dogs- 'You're more of a man than I thought!'
Elliot- 'Shaddap!'

Thats weird X99, I have a JP copy of it and it has an English dub, a cheesy one to boot. As for the game I can't really remember how far into the game I am. I think that I've cleared at least 75% of it at least. A funny thing is that the Japanese version has fixed camera postions versus the American that has a following one that is really icky.

That game kick ass, but i never said anything cause everyone else hated it...
I remember the day it came out, it was in April and that same day 2 other great games came out...
It was 3 new releases that day
Blue S
Marvel Vs Capcom
The House of the Dead 2

So i drove down to Fullerton CA (Game X) to buy all 3 of them
when i got home, i got hook on HOTD 2 for like 3 days straith, then i got hooked on MvC for like 1 week, then when i finally got to play BS, i played it until i finish it, which took me like 2 weeks, i got stuck in a few parts, since it' was all jap, but i still was able to finish it...
I never played the US version, cause by the time it was out, 2 Great games came out at the same time....
So once again i drove down to San Gabriel this time (japanvideogames) and pick up both imports
Code Veronica and Sega GT...
I'm telling you, i was in haven, played the CV for 10 hours that day until i finish the first disk, i remember seeing the intro like 10 times, it was the first true next gen RE game....
The wonderful days of the DC, i even payed $500 for the system with Sonic and Memory card......
Best decision ever...
Even when the PS2 was released, i bough one new, just to end up trading it for a Neo Geo with Samsho 2 and Baseball stars...

That's how I came here.... =)

Ps....sorry, I'm just bored as hell here at work....

Loved it, the super-neon lighting, awesome melee attacks and special effects were lightyears ahead of anything else at the time.

Whatever happened to the Directors Cut version that was supoosed to be coming out on the Xbox, along with RENTAHERO vol 1???????

I was going to add what games did members buy on release..

I think I bought
Sonic Addventure
Blue Stinger
Air Force Delta..

Or any of these mixed with Blue Stinger..
Aerowings
Sega Rally 2
TNN Hardcore Heat

I honestly forget these are the first games on my rack of DC games,I'm not sure what games came out on release date though I could check if I was to find my old receipt.

I was nuts about the DC,I was buying every game that came out for it..

:tickled: The expensive memory cards..lol..I remember complaining about the cost of them and the battery life..
The batteries would die so fast..I used to take the batteries out just to keep them from dying..

Now I have around 15 of those memory cards they are so damn cheap now..::D

Well i bough the Import system, i remeber checking 3 sites everyday to see if they dropped in price...
Game Cave
Japan Video Games
Game X

I was all crazy about getting that system that i was waiting for a $500 price range, everyone had it for $850 with 2 games...
until finally Game X had it for $500 with either Sonic Adv or Sega Rally 2 so i went with Sonic and a Gozilla looking memory card....

So far the best system ever....
