But who designed the asstastic GC controller? Or the equally crappy N64 controller?
lithy said:What what what?
The S controller is total ass. The original is okay, but the buttons are horrid, the layout of the S is shit.
The GameCube controller is awesome, melts in my hand. I'll give you the N64 although revolutionary for its time, is not that great.
buttasuperb said:I see no problem with the button layout for the S. Now the GC button layout, one big button with 3 smaller ones around it, is craptaculous. Trigger buttons on both controllers are pretty crappy though.

GC and N64 buttons are great. If noly the GC ahd a nicer D-pad like the 64
But let's not eveng et into design...yeesh, the only X-Box controller I can stand for more than two seconds is the friggin Mad Catz Microcon. My advice: get the universal PS2 controller convertor. It works for both GC and X-Box and it rocks. Sure, it's $20, but it's the ONLY way to get a decent d-pad for GC, and the only way to get a controller at all worth using on X-Box.
lithy said:I like the Microcon as well. But you think the PS2 has a good d-pad? Ouch I disagree. That separated up crap doesn't do it for me
jethrek said:I think it has a terrible d-pad.
I think the GC has a worse one.

In fact, I actually like the S-Type alot more than the Dual shock, it feels more "solid", the rumble effects are more pronouced and substantial, and the analog control seems to be more precise too. The dual shock just feel so flimpsy.
