yeah basically i've played through this game a couple of times already and playing through it again now. however, i have a bit of a problem...

each time i played through i was never able to use a light saber or use force powers, so my question is.. is it possible to do so?

if so, how/where do you aquire the 'skill' to use a light saber and gain 'force points' ? like don't just a planet name or something.. i want to know specifically what it is you need to do.

kinda takes away from the star wars experience when you can't use either :annoyed:

so can anyone help? thanks!

I'm not really sure how you missed out on getting a light saber. When you get to Dantooine you get one automatically when you begin your Jedi training. Or at least, that's how I remember.

yeah i've acquired it from the training[even picked up others off of people i've killed], as well as i've gotten ahold of crystals for it and 'assembled' them via the workbench...

but it still shows that i have 0 Force Points and won't let me equip any of the lightsabers. and so far it's done this to me each time i've played through the game.

:help:

It might have something to do with the armor you have equipped. Try putting on a Jedi robe if you haven't already.

Other than that, I really don't know.

yep i've tried that to. won't let me put on a jedi robe.

so here's the deal thus far. can't equip a lightsaber, can't put on a jedi robe, can't use force/add jedi powers, i've 'assembled' crystals to the lightsabers, and i've completed the jedi training on Dantooine.

so no one else here has any ideas?

P.S. i've got the PC version of the game, not a console one[no idea if it's any different on the consoles].

I played it on the Xbox, but I can't imagine why it would be that different.

Perhaps its a glitch of some kind? KOTOR is full of them.

Either you didn't get far enough, or your game is definitely bugged. You should probably get all the patches and restart from the beginning. Check the BioWare support forums, if you haven't already, to see if anyone else had the same problem. Once you get to Dantooine, you do get the lightsaber and first force powers automatically once you complete a few dialogs (talk to all the jedi trainers until they tell you you're a padawan). To get to Dantooine, you have to finish Tarsis by winning the swoop bike race and rescuing Bastila.

Something definately wrong there, you HAVE to choose a jedi "profession" Blue, Green etc.

Your given a light saber and when you lvl up you have to choose force powers!

I've got no idea how you completed the game without force powers or the light saber!

yes i've gone through the training. they reffered to me as 'padawan' and yes i've gone through that jedi choice menu[choose type/colors for lightsaber], etc.. etc...

as far as NeoDragoN's comment goes
"I've got no idea how you completed the game without force powers or the light saber!", well... i upgraded every equipable item as best i could, used that mask that blocks jedi mind powers, focused all my level ups mainly on maxing out mellee/2weapon powers, always kept jedi's with me whenever i went anywhere, and sold off everything i didn't need for medpacs/advance medpacs and kept using them during battles.
