Amongst us we have a scammer. Too often these days the innocent are branded scammers whilst the real pilferers are allowed to flourish.In england many many people have been ripped off and tricked by a cunning gutter dog called Mark. He used to work at CEX in london. Lately he has disappeared from these pages. No doubt wanting to lay low having run out of people to "borrow" stuff from.He has left a long trail of deceit and trickery. Why even Lord Shiva would be tricked by this chhooor aaardmee. Instead of us attacking those who are pious let us flush out the hypocrits from amongst us.

I want everyone here who has been a victim of Mark Starkey to say so here.Let the words of the oppressed speak. What does this gudaaar owe you. what has he borrowed .What did he promise you. How did he fail you. Did you buy his poor quality rip off conversions. did you work with him? How did this gutter dog hurt your purse strings.Speak like the camel who has been given the power of speech.

Yeah, I found this thread a little odd myself. If it uncovers a scammer, then that's great, but I don't even know who kyo geo is - so how does he scam people exactly? Please be a little more specific with your complaint.

It sounds like you're trying to start a revolution or something - just take it easy on the rhetoric and tell us what the guy did. Oh, and by the way - buying/selling conversions here will get you in some deep shit. Just a heads up.

I would punish myself by turning on pump 4 and spilling 2 litres of unleaded on my trousers. Of course i would not light myself. Ok I will stop jesting and get serious. kyo geo was a manager ar CEX prominent neo geo store in england. He was sacked from his job after being caught thieving. He stole from his friends and colleagues at CEX and sold bootleg laden conversion carts on ebay for some time. Speaking to others who have been scammed some of them big name members here. All of em are too weak to speak out. will ive had enough. people like RVF400 are crucified for far less, yet us uk members let a scammer like this pass. cos were too polite. im hoping cos I speak others will too. One guy came close to saying something but he was too chickenshit to say who it was. well im am not. Give this thread a chance and you'll thank me for it.

Anyway, I see what you're saying. It is pretty embarrassing to admit that you've been scammed (partially or totally), and I can see why some members here might just keep it quiet. I've been hit a couple of times with minor shit (carts weren't in the stated condition), but I just sort of dismissed it. But if somebody asked me for a rec about the guy, I'd definitely tell them the deal. I've never been burnt bad enough to want to go on a crusade though, but I know that there are QUITE a few people here that have.

So, if you have been burnt by this kyo geo guy, then don't be shy - SPEAK UP!

Call me Mr Cautious but I just feel that this is actually a thread started by Kyo Geo himself under a new name.Does he want to try andfind out how far his rep has been spread among the geo community?

I'm sorry Mr Ranatunga but with someone who is a noob,with about 5 posts to your name you seem to know an awful lot about Starkey's background..........that makes me a little paranoid.

I'm not going to spill the names of the people I know he has ripped or who he has tried to as its upto them to make that decision.

You may be a genuine victim of Starkeys,Mr Ranatunga but theres something not right about how your posts are put together.They read as though I'm listening to an Indian shopworker talking,as though its written by someone trying to put down words in the style of a stereotype.

If you are genuine then its unfortunate that you have been on the recieving end of one of his deals.If you are Starkey himself,then I aint telling you anything m8!

I had a deal go sour with Kyo back in July. After buying something from him, I waited over two weeks with nothing in hand. Tried contacting him several times with no response - finally I filed a fraud complaint with PayPal.

Soon after the complaint was filed, he e-mailed me and said he had forgotten to send it out for the past two weeks. The avoidance and etc. had all the earmarkings of a scammer, but eventually, he submitted to a refund.

It definitely wouldn't suprise me if he's scammed a few people though.

Personally I know of 2 people who have been either ripped off or have been put in a position where they have taken the blowback from him trying to rip others off.There is another person that I know,who nearly got involved with him but someone else warned him about Starkey first so he was then able to do some digging and find more things about him and his dealings.

I'm not going to give the names of the people that I know he has scammed as its not my place to do so.If they want to let the rest of the community know how they were sucked in by this person then its upto them to do so.But from what I have heard there is a fairly wide base of disgruntled ex-customers of his.

On a side note,I have been reliably told that he uses several address's for his dealings,including his girlfriends and family members(just so he can spread the love a little further).

He is also supposed to have a sizable geo collection too,but you would if you borrow from others and don't return stuff,or in other instances just take peoples money and leaves them high and dry.

He's just a swaggering braggart who thinks he's a big-tymer.A spell in intensive care is what pricks like him need.

OK... Mark aka. kyo geo owes me some money for a ZedBlade MVS Cart...

It's been so long now... I can't remember how much it was for... I sent it to him Special Delivey... I can dig out the reciept too..

Anyways, he promised he'd pay me when some of his auctions ended... I think this is about 2 months ago now... and I haven't heard from Mark since...

Since then tho... I've heard some stories about Mark... and quite frankly... I never expect to see my money... :very_ang:

I know Streets Of Rage has also been scammed by Mark... Life is tough... live and learn... :crying:
