Anyway, I got recently inspired to finally take a crack of doing a remix of the Ninja Gaiden 1 NES Level 1 theme from my little studio here. If there's one NES game I know I replay the most it's Ninja Gaiden. It's been my little testbed of keeping my old-style platform skills in check throughout the years. In doing this, I tried to be as faithful to the original tune as possible. Anyway, here's the link, in lieu of its impending return. Hope you like it.

Filesize is about 2.5MB. In case you're wondering, I've been known as Akaimizu(Red Water), on the websites, for around half a decade now.

Only thing is it is Geocities, so you might have to wait on the file. It kind of sucks, but it'll have to do until I can get some more webspace.

If above doesn't work. Try this link. In fact, I'm moving my recorded music files to this new site.

Actually, it'll be up in around 30 minutes or less, now. I moved the file to a new site. A whole new and much better file server. Anyway, there should be no more issues from Geocities after this. Once the site is back up, you can DL the file and it will link it from the new location. Sorry about that. Geocities doesn't mention anything about exactly what their file transfer limitations were.

Ryu: The day after he disappeared, in father's room I found a
letter addressed to me. It said, "Ryu, I am on my way to a life or death duel.
If it is destiny that I not return, you are to take the Dragon sword of the
Hayabusa family and go to America and see the archaeologist, Walter Smith.
Ryu, be always brave..."

Ryu: I will get my revenge!

Now this is what I'm talking about.

I've been planning awhile to make an instrumental hip hop album using nothing but videogame samples. Too bad I can't afford an mpc2000. :(

I know this isn't exactly hip hop, but it still kicks lots of ass. Nice work. :buttrock:

Thanks a lot. Actually, the beat style is just about the same kind of style of the original tune. I didn't want to alter it too much. I did take a little liberty and added an extra movie-soundtrack motif to it. I figured it would make the different parts of the song more distinct. When to kick things up a notch, when to drop out, for dramatic effect.

I'll have to see. Depends on my time and such. I might crank out another tune within the week.

Isn't there some PC DJ'ing programs that let you blend MP3's with beats and you can sample?

I always wanted to try that too. I always wanted to take stuff out of my giant .NSF, .SPC, and .GYM collections from Zophar and make beats out of them. Here's some tunes I definitely want to use to make a hip hop beat:
>Metroid
>Higemaru Makaijima (JP)
>Some Mega Man tunes
>Bayou Billy (particularly the music to the light gun shooting stages :buttrock:
