Either:

-Via the mail
-Via store buying/whatever
-or via a combo of the two

This past Tuesday was my new record.

Got 4 packages... grand total of 10 games.

DAAAAMN. Oh yeah, one of them was Astra Superstars complete/mint and it only cost me 60 bucks. (game goes for about $100)

When I worked for Game World INC. *(Now apart of EB GAMES) and didn't see a paycheck for like 2 months straight as ole' Fischer would subtract employee orders/discounts "at cost"... I had about 7 games coming in from NCS, 4 Neo CD games from VLM Distibutors, and bought 4 games that came into the store that day. So that equates to 15 games in total that came in all at once.

Right now I've got 3 MVS carts inbound for my apartment, looking at another 5 from differing places on EBAY, Neo Store, CrazeArcade and, prolly will have about 20 legit MVS carts by this time next month. *So to answer your question Steve, when I get on the ball... I blitzkreig and go for broke, LITERALLY.

OMG! You worked at Game-World? Which one?

Aaron Fischer!? Holy shit.

I placed two orders with www.game-world.com YEARS, MOONS back. One was for my (then) 2nd Saturn game, Fighter's History Dynamite and the other for NiGHTS.

They were pretty cool to me. In the summer of 1999 I was hunting for FHD and to no avail. Game-world.com had FHD listed but with the 1 meg cart for 23.00. I already had the 1 meg and so asked if I could buy FHD alone with a price reduction.... they gave it to me for 18.00 :)

I still remember the day I got the game, and a card signed by Aaron Fischer saying "thanks for the business."

It was July 4, 1999.... EXACTLY two years to the day of FHD's Saturn release, ironically enough. (7.4.97)

Anyway, I got an old email stored away about some dude who used to work for Game World. He wrote me a LOOOONG email and IIRC, some stories on Game World as his work unfolded there.... Maybe you guys worked together, who knows.... I oughta dig it up... (hell, maybe, just maybe.... it was you....)

:D

I worked at the Blanco Rd. location from Nov 1996 until Oct 1997, and the bulk of my spending was on SEGA Saturn and Neo:Geo CDZ at the time, (though I also had my 1st Neo AES system in '97). There were three stores in total, I worked with some of the best crews ever imagined (All of them "Real Gamers") and I wouldn't trade those days in for anything. ---Yeah Aaron Fischer was a double edged sword that dude, he was helluva cool guy at times, but a total dick at others. He eventually sold off his three stores to Electronics Boutique who then merged that with FUNCOLAND and it became the corporate nightmare that it is now. Rarehero, Franco Bash, and a few others in NG.Com were apart of those days as well, and I miss those dudes, though I still see Rare every now and then, and Franco will always have teh PIMP DADDY raspy voice.

Black outside... IT'S ALL BLACK! ;)

If that email had to do with a guy moshing over the counter with another guy named SCUD, throwing up PSX memory cards into the ceiling fan, and blowing up a sprite bottle... that would be me.
or any of the other hijinks that went on there. Good times indeed.

Why have I never heard of this game before? This is probably a stupid question but what it for? I need to know more.

Oh and I got about 11 PCE CD games in one day...10 sucked and the 11th was Lords of Thunder.

Astra Superstars came out for the ST-V system I believe. An inevitable Saturn port came after.

I think 2 or 3 games is the most i have ever recieved/purchased in one day. So nothing really too impressive for me.

well i used to have my own game store so i'd regularly get in large shipments.. but then again i guess that doesn't count since i hadn't planned to keep all that stuff for myself.

although back in high school i traded someone my neo geo aes system, 2 controllers, 1 memory card, and i believe it was either art of fighting 1 or fatal fury 1 that i had left.. and well, i traded that stuff for a sega genesis, sega cd, and about 100 genesis+scd games.

Other then that, yesterday I got 8 saturn games + saturn system. Including Panzer Dragoon Saga PAL! Those are the two best deals I had in my life. I think the CD in 2000 and this in 2004.

I bought a NGPC package off of ebay a couple of years ago at a really good price (at the time) . 1 NGPC, 17 complete games, the caring case, and a key chain. That gave me a grand total of 3 NGPC and 25-30 complete games with only 4 doubles. I sold one of the NGPC and the games I had doubles of to some guy in Michigan a couple of weeks later and recouped most of the money spent on the deal.

When I first got my cab in early April I amassed 20 some carts by the end of the month. Many of them were bought in groups of 3-5 usual and the most I bought was 7 from one guy off of ebay at once.

One year I had a friend give me 20 psone rpg's for a Christmas present. He bought them from one of his friends for like $40. Some of the games included were Vagrant story, FF tactics original, persona 1 and 2, wild arms 1 and 2 Grandia, Thousand arms, Suikoden 2, Xenogears......

yesterday i got an xbox with 50 games.

Why this kind of greed?

Well as a boy my parents didnt let me play video games. my younger cousins parents were less strict.I was 15 and my cousins 7 and 8. Yet I had no game system and they had a state of the art Sega master system. As you can tell from an early age i learned life was not fair. Now we are all grown up, and its me that calls the shots, I got an xbox, a aes machine, a mvs set up, and a gamecube and snes.

I know I have seen you somewhere before................
I used to go to the one on Bandera (I got Neo CD Pulstar and it took me one month to get the game manual.... ) and Blanco (where I sold most of my AES/Mega Drive games) as well.

I want my games back!!!!!!!!

There used to be a import game store across from Central Park Mall (now abandon) and I saw Samurai Shodown 3 for $220 at that time..................

But those were years ago.......

Yeah, I believe we talked about this in person when I met you at the KOF 2002 Tourney here in SATX, when it first came out. The stores you're talking about were ATOMIC GAMES and prolly later on before the mall was blown up... ANIME ICHIBAN. ---If you sold the bulk of your AES stuff there and some MD, chances are I owned them at one point. :D
