Is that running within the Windows XP shell?

If not, why are there two Start Menus?

That logo is hideous, I can't believe they'd seriously try to market this product with a Western theme.

Too cutsie. I have my Win XP set to look like Win 2000. I just hate all that bubbly mess..... Hah, I'm a hypocrite, I use Mac OSX

I call bullshit.

The whole "for faking purposes only" on the bottom corner of the desktop thing really gives it away.

You can call bullshit all you want. I know someone else with the longhorn beta as well, and it's quite real. He was using build 4051 IIRC, and he said it was quite nice, although it detected his ram/cpu speeds wrong. he sent me one screen capture where it detected his cpu speed at being like 72GHZ.

There have been beta leaks of Longhorn yes, but the UI stuff is being kept very quiet and is left out of these beta's. No one has seen many of the supposed improvements that have been made since MS claims that these beta's look nothing like what Longhorn's UI truely is.

These beta's are really just there to test the core kernel and how well the new exploerer works under user workloads.

Also, the whole "For Faking Purposes Only" on the bottom right corner of the pic also gives this thing away.

In fact, you can pick up a longhorn beta in Singapore for about $1.54. There was a CNN article on it not too long ago.

The kernel is the only thing they really test in the betas and release canidates. The UI amounts to a "skin" like any other skinning app out there. Word is that the UI is going to radically different, but then again... we've heard those kinds of promises before.

As for the little tag in the bottom right corner, I think it speaks for itself.

THERE ARE CODE LEAKS OF LONGHORN OUT THERE.
