Due to the lack of bemani available in the U.S. this guy I know set up a message board for people to sign that might help in letting Namco know that people want more bemani games in their arcades besides just DDR. Please take a few minutes to sign up and leave a message on the boards because Namco will be checking it.

Thanks.

It's a cool idea...but a lot of the bemani games I import and play at the arcade are kinda for a niche market...

Nice idea... if I really cared anymore. I'm pretty much all DDRed out.

BTW, Konami makes the Bemani series, not Namco.

I don't know about Niche Market. In Maryland, you usually are guarranteed to see a Bemani game in an arcade than a lot of other types of arcade games. Fighters and shooters usually take a place well below popularity of seeing Bemani machines. Normally, we see both DDR and Pump it Up. But that's about the only 2 we would see.

Yes I know Bemani is made by Namco, but a lot of the arcades around here are Namco Aladdin's Castles, as well as other places with arcades that are run by Namco.

The person that is running this message board is a manager at one of these arcades in Chicago, in the Chicago Ridge Mall. There are already 2 bemani games there... Percussion Freaks 3rd mix and DDR Extreme, as well as Namco's Taiko no Tatsujin. He wants to show Namco that that that is an arcade market for these types of games.

As far as bringing out home versions and stuff, that's another matter but bleh... who cares, those anyone can import themselves, but one person can't very well get all the arcade versions. Well, unless they're rich. ;)

After making an ass of himself, and getting seriously OWNED by quite a few NEO Heads in here, the dude excused himself and high tailed it for Shaolin-Venoms.com some time ago... however, when I last was at that scene I believe Bemani had vanished from there as well. ---I still wonder if we'll ever see his "Serious Live Action Hentai all female VS. Fighting game" *Fatal Bust?

Well Konami makes what they call the Benami series, they aren't however the only games of their kind. Andamiro manufactures Pump It Up! (which in my opinion is much better then DDR), and Namco has their own drum simulation series which has become rather popular in Japan, as well as Donkey Konga, which also seems to be doing quite well.
