Otakon Alert! Read if your planning on going!

Somebody on IGN made a "who's going to Otakon" poll on the boards a few days ago. I mentioned not to get the budget hotel room because it was a total nightmare.

Well if you’re thinking of getting into a good hotel plan NOW. There already being booked up as we speak. The Holiday Inn and Day's Inn are already booked. I called the Sheraton that has the walkway and the woman had to nearly hunt for a room with two beds!

They didn't even announce Hotel prices and there all near gone! So if you plan on going do it fast. It's worth the money and the time to get there for all the cool stuff. I just hope it isn't so crowded people won't want to go.

I live in baltimore, and I have already decided that I have to stay at a hotel this year just so i get the hotel experience at the con. Especially for the late night gaming.

Do they already have the discounts in effect at hotels, or if not, will they possibly be retroactive? I don't need anything fancy as long as I can get something near the Inner Harbor.

When I called up the Sherry I asked about the special Otakon rate and the lady on the other end had no idea what I was talking about. Considering it's THE biggest convention the center has I don't know how she wouldn't know about it.

But she did say I can call back with my confermation number and see if I can get an added discount. So once they announce the hotels on the site I will call them again and hope for a better rait.

I only wish I could go.

yes that is true. the hotels are going fast. they (otakon) hasn't relised the rates yout B/c they haven't sighned the contracts with the hotels yet . ( why they are taking there time i don't know ) i got my hotel in ouctober maybe even late sept. and they gave it to me ...

I'm still pissed off with all the kids that said the game room didn't have enough games. I keep saying one of the members brining the games got into a head on car crash and they still bitch.

Speaking of the game room, let me know what I should bring since I'll have a nice ammount of games for my MVS come July.
