Does anyone know why the release date for SVC Chaos for the PS2 console was pushed back from Feb 10th to sometime in September? That pisses me off. Oh well, Samurai Showdown 5 will be out soon enough.

I noticed that on EB's site as well. Something tells me though that the same thing is going to happen for Sam. Sho. 5...

I laugh at playmore/snkneogeousa and their idiotic decisions, pathetic.

They must be short on parts.

Speaking of USA PS2 Neo releases, I also noticed that Metal Slug 3 has been pushed back (again) to 9/15.

Something tells me that MS3 won't be released in the US for PS2. Not a big deal as I already have the MVS, but it is curious as to why Playmore is screwing with their fans lately...

Because they bend over and take it every time, no questions asked.

Whars de xbox version?????!!!

Yeah well what are you going to do. SS5 is coming too but after playing it last night for the first time I am a little disappointed. Two things in particular pissed me off about Genjuro... one is that he doesn't have his music and two is HE KILLED ME WHEN I HAD FULL LIFE IN ONE DAMN HIT OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and you can't cut people in half.

Honestly, the number one thing turning me off from the Neo-Geo is Playmore and their bullshit politics and double speak. I am about 2 delayed releases and a lie about a cart release away from just saying fuck all and going somewhere else!

For some reason I'm not really surprised that this bull shit is continuing. It's so pathetic the crap that we deal with.

I noticed the date change yesterday myself and I wasn't too happy to say the least. I pre-ordered SVC for PS2 back in Decmeber thinking I'd just wait for it to show up in the mail sometime in February. A friend of mine who works at GameStop called me and said his release date schedule had SVC bumped back until June. I then checked EBGames and saw that it was stuck in September. Give me a break! Instead of a couple months into the year it's going to be here near Halloween. Whatever they're adding can't be that stupendous, I just want to play the game on my PS2.

When you consider the fact that all they have to do is replace the win text from the JPN version (text that already exists - COPY AND PASTE BITCHES! It's not just for sprites anymore!!), and write some text on the back of the insert I can't believe it's taking this long to get it out in the US.

I know exactly what you mean. They're probably trying to load the thing up with a bunch of worthless extras that no one even really gives a rip about. The combo pack for KOF2000/2001 had a few of those. 2001 has those, oh so diddly don't give a crap- type 3d backgrounds and stolen art from 2K2. I wonder what they'll use for character art in the actual PS2 release of KOF 2K2....oh wait, that's what it'll be pushed back another 9 months for.

So it's been confirmed for SS5 on the PS2.
Damn I still want it for my AES though. Arrrggghhhh.... too much money to spend on one game though. But I must get the complete set on the system it was made for.

Alright now I'm really confused.

Gamestop's website has the release date down as June 22nd. Now how in the hell can we believe anyone's release date anymore. For all we know the stores are completely oblivious to the fact that it exists. I mean I was in an EB games the other day and the people working there didn't know a thing of what I was talking about. The only two companies that are completely sure are SNK Playmore and Sony.

US PS2 Neo gamers = f*cked (again)

i can't see the logic in pushing back a game like this for roughly an entire year. by the time it's actually released, most people will have it in some form or another (PCB, MVS, AES, or import PS2). no one will want the damn US version in September. everyone will have played it to hell and have moved on to something new. they will lose on this, you can guarantee it.

this is another reason i love Japanese imports for every system. that's basically all i've ever gotten (i import for my Dreamcast, my PS2 and soon the Gamecube). f*ck the US releases. i've been into Japanese games and toys since i was a little $hit (my grandmother is full Japanese--she got me into it all)--i'll continue to support the Japanese ones. so, soon i'll pick up SVC on import PS2 (gotta love modifying a US PS2 to play everything BUT the US games!) didn't take long either! :D

i already have the MVS version of Samurai Shodown V, but will consider the PS2 version simply because of portablity (i can easily take it to work with in my PS2 system suitcase with no problems). :p

go import, guys. it's a fighting game, who cares if you can't read Japanese?

If US release date isn't too far from Japan then I'll get US for money wise.

I was thinking about getting US SVCC in March but hell SNKP pushes the release date to September

Fortunately I got JPN version so I can finally play this game NOW!
What's more is that Mai's famous bouncing is it.....no censored :drool_2: :drool_2:
