The direction in this game is amazing.
I just wish the lip synching was a bit more up to par.

I wonder if Konami did a majority of the direction, or just production? Just what DID Silicon Knights do?

"Silicon Knights of Canada -- dveloper of "Eternal Darkness" -- create the character and stage models and also work on the programming and sound. They are polishing all elements of the original and are working on the remake.

A Konami Computer Entertainment Japan staff stationed in Canada takes command at the frontline to check every single detail of the game.

The boundary-transcending "Japanese Samurai VERSUS Canadian Knight" duel continues.
With the full support or Nintendo, the technology of Silicon Knights who know the Game Cube inside out pumps new life into MGS."

Looks like I gotta' head over to my droog's house with the BROADBAND connection so I can see this mutha' fucka'! Many series come and go, but METAL GEAR will always be in my houze... err... with the exception of "Sons of Liberty", Raiden can suck a dick and die on a chaser of cum.

Still haven't got over to InsaneJawa's pad with the Broadband connection. *What I want to know is, is HAYTER back doing additional voice work or what? ---Snake just ain't Snake without being a Hayter.

Its definitely David Hayter, MD20XX.

I had absolutely NO interest in this game until watching this trailer. Makes me want to run to EB and snag that copy of MGS2: Substance they have for $20.

-slaps some sense into Buro-

NO! BAD BAD BURO! Get MGS instead or play that one if you have it...even with the extras, it isn't right to buy it.

For some reason, it's cool to hate MGS2 because of Raiden.

Meanwhile, Substance has the best VR missions of my LIFE.

hey hey, I respect the guy alot, just Metal Gear is about Snake fighting Metal Gears, not this push over whiner Raiden...Sorry Buro, I have bad memories of MGS2 WITHOUT substance equals a mad M-A-D....such a horrible thing to do to loyal fans. Substance, it's iffy now, I just don't play the Raiden parts of the game just the extra snake side quests...then I sold it, just didn't feel right.

What I love about Kitamura Ryuhei (director of Versus & the redone MGS1 cinemas) is how subtle his style is. Don't you agree? ;) :D

But yes, it does look great, though Snake stepping on the missile is more than a tad over the top.

looks great, though it isn't much of an improvement of the original, i mean the textures and models don't look all that great.
but i like the way they put all the matrix style into it!, but why should we bother with this since its only the same freaking game as before.

if it comes with an english translation of policenauts then i will change my mind.

Since I can't d/l anymore stuff (reached my limit for this month), can anyone do a screen cap of Mario and Yoshi in that video?

Thanks!

I just watched the video, I can't wait to get this game, MGS is one of my favourite games of all time.

MGS2 was not that bad, the mechanics were great, it's just that the story wasn't. That's why combining the story of MGS one with the graphics and gameplay of MGS2 will be great. And I didn't find Snake's "absence" in MGS2 that bad either... It's like saying Metal Slug 3 is bad because Solid Snake is not in there...
I passed almost all the VR missions in Substance, but didn't play the main game as I already finished the regular MGS2.

About the video, I'm pissed it's only cinematics (although they use the same game engine), instead of some controllable action. And by the way, why the hell do EVERYBODY and their mamas have the need to use "bullet time" in any action sequence since Matrix?

No, Raiden was so lame. Ruined the game for me.

This remake looks awesome though! I can't wait for this one :buttrock:
