Didn't know what to expect when I first saw it.... In fact, it was a pleasant surprise. A good movie, I love that chubby chinese kid who threw water ballons!!! Makes me chuckle everytime!

I think it's a classic

Except I don't really like the beginning- where it's a crime movie

But I know Tarantino wrote it that way- he wanted people to be sitting there watching a crime movie and then- BAM! it's a horror film all of the sudden

But the whole thing- as soon as they get over the Mexican border is fucking ace.

And yeah- Salma Hayek is unbelievable in that. Ed fucking Norton is a lucky bastard to be going home to that every night.

One annoying little foot note though-

Robert Rodriguez (the director) said in an NPR interview that he was deliberately trying to make the horror in the film more silly, or goofy because he wasn't really into the whole 'horror' thing and that he liked directing more 'fantasy' oriented stuff. And that his life's calling is to do 'Spy Kids' and other such films.

Pussy.

I actually liked the whole movie. The entire thing. I love the way it was executed. Especially Tarantino's and Cloony's characters.

I mean, how could you not like that scene where Cloony comes home to finding Tarantino having raped & killed the hostage. So good.

Dusk til Dawn is one of the best horror/action movies ever. The entire movie is seamless. The first time you see it you're totally suprised by the switch up in the middle. Buckets of gore, crazy ass fights, one liners, boobies and George Clooney actually kicking ass. What more could you want?

You see I'm just the opposite side of that coin. I liked the first half of the film, but when it turned into a Roger Corman flick I just stopped caring. *The sequels sucked major balls... I always wondered what happened to the Prequel to DUSK TILL DAWN that was a story soley based around Clooney's character and Tarantino's wacky brother? Q.T. even mentioned the dang project in '97 at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Austin Texas during one of his three-year-only "Come hang out with me and watch my favorite B Movies" lock ins.

To me that would've been better than "Texas Blood Money" and "The Hangman's Daughter".
