GCN, why the fuck is it called that anyway?

Bought a cube for RE1. and sadly coupled with monkey ball I think thats the only thing I can be assed to play..

any recommendations that won't suck or cause me to laugh at your poor QA levels?

RE0.. hmm, I don't actually like the RE series much tbh, I'm just a MASSIVE fanboy of the first title - classic.

MarioKart.. hmm, its ok, but the tracks suck, and so does the lineup.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Eternal Darkness, great game, and in the states I usually see it nowadays for $10-$20.

StarFox Adventures is also good, even if it is a Zelda 64 ripoff for the most part.

This next gen crap isn't all is said to be, I mean, the ps2 now collects dust apart from GT3, and theres only a couple good games for this.

Now, I can't be jaded, but I'm not excited about any game you mentioned really, which means you have poor QA levels and all modern games suck, because that list was pitiful, to be honest, I'd rather give up gaming if this crock is going to continue. Talk about a slump or what, 3d nextgen boring games are too sterical, manufactured, rushed, and have no passion.

Me thinks the jaded answer is most probable. Considering that many people here would agree to most games on that list. And this place has the largest amount of "pissed off at next-gen games" people I've ever seen.

I've got news for you, games were a buisness then and they are now. "CHURN CHURN CHURN" was used back then too, cept it was dumb/knock off platformers or other special genre's (Shumps and fighters suffered from this back then too). Nothing's changed other than more people like gaming now and more companies want to get in on the action.

It was always about money, Nintendo back then was much worse monopoly wise than Sony or MS are now, or have ever been. So don't give me the buisness line.

So when the vast majority of people go out, buy those and other games, say they're having fun, they have low QA levels? All of them compared to the very few who scream about how gaming sucks/is dying/etc.

Open your eyes man, crap was just as prevalent back then as it is now. Thing is we were kids then and didn't notice it as much.

BTW, I'm not trying to offend here. Just pointing out things as they were.

I mean, xbox, I doubt I could mention 3 games I'd actually want to put time into on that machine, PS2.. hmm GT3 I could play forever so its obviously not me being jaded towards hardware.

cmon, who else could have done VJoe, not many, because no-one has imagination anymore, they'd automatically think 3D models, and crap textures etc, not capcom, they thought about it.

anyway, great game, and sorta contains the passion and definately workmanship I'm on about.. so does RE1 actually, fanfuckingtastic 'port' (hardly a port but meh).

I think the games coming out are still damned fun.

FFX-2 takes a lot of my time right now, story is getting quite interesting, battle system is fun. Nice RPG if you asked me.

BF1942 and DC are awesome. No, not just awesome, FUCKING AWESOME. Freedom, great team based gameplay with 32 or 64 of your closest friends.

Crimson Skies has an awesome single player game, and the multiplayer game is so god damned good that our super critical Loopz and old-school-pixel-lover neobuyer rave about it. Along with the rest of us.

FFXI has tons of members here playing, and well yeah the rest of the MMORPG fans too. Tons of people are into this game.

Shinobi is fun, but HARD AS HELL. Still fun.

Double Dash = 4 player goodness. Sorry I like the game, as do my friends who play along for the past month or so.

We don't play games because they're games, and even if they're shitty we're going to stick with it. We play games because we have fun with them. These games are still fun, I understand some games just ain't for all people, but god damn if you look at the current crop of games and can't find anything to play I think the problem might be in the mirror and not in the latest game console.

Again same thing not attacking you personally, just the "next gen sucks" people in general. Besides you know I love you, you mantastic bastard. :loco:

I bought the purple one too.

And you face a shitty low quality library of games ahead because Nintendo has done a shitty job of getting it's system out there untill very recently. And even then it's just been a "kids machine" for the most part, with most 3rd party games just not doing well.

And yeah Nintendo dropped the ball on a lot of stuff, like Wind Waker (and no, not just graphics).

Good thing PS2 and XBox are around to deliver good games, otherwise we would be screwed.
