Honestly, you can tell if a system is new or not by just looking at the packaging. Also, there's a little sticky tab that either has to be broken or peeled off in order to open the DC like the PS2. So does anyone have one for sale in the US?
The one I have new was purchased on 9/9/1999 from Ebworld in teh mall. Hasn't been touched. Personally I prefer the japanesse systems but I think the one I got for the U.S. is a modified Jap made for teh U.S. Not sdure if I want to sell it. Don't know what it would be worth.
well i dont know what the difference between mint and super mint is (can anything really be better than mint?) But i have one with box all docs, plastic baggies and sutch, i would call mine mint.
So does anyone have a mint and complete Dreamcast in the US that there willing to sell to me. I've been looking on ebay for days now, but their systems just aren't up to par so to speak. Please help!
Why does it matter if it was made before November 2000? I heard that the earlier ones could play imports using a boot disk. The later models require you to install a mod chip to play them. I guess that is why you want one. If you had bought one at Best Buy back in fall of 2001, you could have gotten a new one for $50! They also had Record of Lodoss War for $20. Good steal.
I have a JP i'll sell you. Looking through my inventory I ahve one that is used but complete and Near Mint. It has about 25 hours of play with one joystick. It can also use the bookdisk (DC-X) without a problem. Let me know if interested.
I didn't know that you needed to mod the later model DC in order to use a bootdisk on them. Where did you get that idea ? People around me jumped on the DC bandwagon much later than me, and they could all use bootdisks and selfbootable copied disks..
