I do know a guy who owned 700 Saturn imports at one point (then he had to move to the US and sold off a ton of his games... 5 of which I bought :) )

I believe there were 1000+ Saturn imports made... for sure at least 920... as there is a JPN Saturn fans' vote of the top 920 or so titles... search Google and I'm sure you'll find it.

That would be me :).

I had a fairly large Japanese Saturn collection until a few months ago. I think I topped out at around 750 titles (a complete Saturn collection is just over 1,150, including all box sets, re-releases, etc.) Unfortunately, well maybe "fortunately" now that I think about it, I had to sell most of my collection as I am in the process of moving from Japan to the US. Here is an old image of most of the Saturn titles I had:

any chance of selling it? :)

No, not even a slim chance. Sorry. I just finished selling over 1,000 games, plus accessories and systems. Everything that made the cut and didn't get sold is going across the Pacific with me. Lets just hope the boat doesn't sink...

Hey wow! Didn't know you're now a member here -- cool. From that pic I saw I can see that Chibi game hanging out. :)
(the manual doesn't look too faded from what I can see)

I think it's official... you now post at every game board I post at.

:p

I don't think there are any Necronomicon players at n-g.com but maybe you can covert some of 'em ;)

(you always need new blood/competition!)

kiun - I think that the Virtual Stick Pro "2" in that picture is mislabled and is the same thing that I have. I have never heard of a 2nd version. No, the plasma screen is not making the trip. My inlaws are getting it.

Steve - actually I have been coming to these forums and the site for at least a couple of years. I mostly just read the General Discussion forum to see what was being said about the Neo, my favorite system along side the Saturn. However, I just read as I never saw any reason to post anything. Last month I stumbled on this board and thought I might as well make an account. As you probably noticed, I have tried to cut back on my forum posting, especially on the Saturn Collection thread. Once I am back in the US, and if we ever get online, I hope to be back as a regular. Until then I will continue to lurk ;). Necronomicon players are far and few between. I myself haven't played in a couple months as I boxed those games up long ago.

Too bad that my videogame collection is rather small...........
I don't even have more than 20 titles for my Saturn :(

Japanese Saturn Collectors represent!

Unfortunately a few years ago I threw away most of the original jewel cases, and inserts (and even a few instruction booklets) for all of my Saturn games.

I stupidly did this because I wanted to free up more space in my apartment!

People in Hokkaido are lucky... they have central heating.

its funny, you can tell a man has taste by his console collection, that was a good example:

dreamcast
saturn
pc engine duo
xbox
gamecube

those 3 are some of the best consoles ever made!. most normal casual people only have playstations or ps2, this man has good taste!.

one question, you have many games why did you get the bog standard saturn, dreamcast,pc engine,GC,xbox?. i would of though someone like you would go the extra mile to get the limited editions!

That's Chibi Maruko-chan no Taisen Puzzle-dama isn't it? Man, I've never laid eyes on one of those before. Managed to find a copy of Nekketsu Oyako about a week ago while I was in Japan -- now I've got this Maruko game to take its place at the top of my Saturn's Most Wanted list.

EDGE said that unknown imports are still being discovered today, thus there will never be a complete list!

well a near enouth complete list would be OK as Nomeaz1 stated there is just over 1150 games that he knows of and he lives in japan so that list would be cool :)

Chris, it most certainly is. :)

Tell me about it... I have wanted Chibi since 2002 and NEVER ONCE saw it on eBay. I have a friend who visits Japan once a year or so and he couldn't find it.

A friend from n-g.com did once find a copy for me, but the next time he returned to buy it -- it was gone.

It looks like such a fun little gem. Can't wait to play it.

And good luck!
