Seriously, this board (namely Unrelated) is FLOODED with retarded and completely useless polls. People are using polls when a simple discussion would suffice. Perhaps limiting to one active (active being defined as any poll that hasn't been voted on or posted in for more than 48hours or something) per user?

Its getting ridiculous.

yes, thsi would be greatly apreciated.
To give you an idea of how much this is needed: this is the first time in over a half year that I have even browsed the suggestions forum and my sole puropse of visitiong here now and posting is becuase all these morons and there polls.
I wish people could control themselves when they are given a privledge but I guess it is not that way.

Yeah, I especially don't like the poll's that get started by people that want you to pick which game they should buy.:oh_no: Leave the polls up to the mods as far as I'm concerned.

I may as well start a poll like... "Should polls be allowed to be started by anyone or just mods?":make_fac:

Maybe if we didn't have so many stupid members, we wouldn't have such a big problem. But since we do, we probably need regulation.

It was cool at first, but then Shinji came along and now DashK can't keep it in his pants either.

i dont see anything wrong... if you don't like the poll, don't reply on it or poll on it... and it will disappear.... into the old threads

Instead of regulating the "poll" feature, why not "REGULATE" the ones that abuse them? It's about time some member cleansing gets done around here.

Get rid of the poll feature PERIOD.

Some polls just serve no purpose except to make the creator feel elite for having made a poll. Others are just when a member has no intelligent way to flame someone.

Just let the mods have it.

I think at the very least modify the polls so that they aren't bumped everytime they are voted in. I have still yet to post one solely because I don't want to add to the clutter. I'll probably vote to just take it away from us again.

Someone awhile ago (I forget who, sorry) suggested that the ability to post a poll should be dependent on your post count.

The idea seems a bit elitist at first, but when you think about it, it's actually pretty reasonable.

The members with the higher post counts are all generally people who have been here for awhile, and they know how the boards work, what would make a good topic or poll etc. etc.

Also, these are the people who are more likely to be making polls about the Neo, and video games in general, instead of whatever happens to cross their mind at the moment.

Anyway, leaving things as they are is a bad idea.

Although some people say 'if you don't like the poll, then don't vote in it...', all these useless polls are making our forums look really really lame.

Yep, it is definitely showing why we weren't able to post polls previously. Now it's poll this, poll that.

That would be nice but another annoyance would come back, "Spammers," but now "UP THE BUTT!" That would happened cause they want to put up a poll.
