I was bidding on some auctions on ebay. Here are the links to those auctions:

1) http://offer.ebay.com/ws3/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=3068369960

2) http://offer.ebay.com/ws3/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=3067411944

3) http://offer.ebay.com/ws3/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=3067507210

4) http://offer.ebay.com/ws3/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=3067706102

My ebay user name is bullet-tf and I retracted my bid on both auctions I was bidding on. It caught my attention when memphis01 kept inching up the bid on all 4 of these auctions. The 0 feedback made me suspicious not to mention the bid retraction on Last Resort and then he re- bidded in smaller increments to move the bid just below my MAX Bid.

If you guys ever see this person bidding on your auctions...BEWARE!!! I just hope he doesn't ruin all of Kusunagi-sama's auctions. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up.

Phillip,I'm really sorry to hear about this, but I suspect this person might be shill bidding the auctions for the said seller.

Why?

Let's take a look:

Zero-feedback,located in Australia, bidded against you for 4 games that you were bidding on,retracted his bids, and kept nudging? :spock:

Fishy stuff here...

Buyers beware!!!

You go,Shir0.

That's what I like about the forums, everyone tend to look out for one another, which is beautiful :)

Unfortunately, the guy's in Australia, the very same country in which the seller resides.

bidding on auctions with the goal to have the ending price the highest it could be is an infraction on ebay.

That's why you need to follow snk_sniper's tactics...
Never bid on items, only in the last seconds :glee:

It actually IS an infraction of eBay's rules. He can be banned if it looks like he's doing what he's doing. eBay stated it. It's VERY obviously shill bidding. Turn him in and watch the amusement ensue.

This situation may also occur when a bidder bids, and bids, and bids, and finally ends up being the winning bidder, but then realizes he's a poor schmuck and can't afford it at that price. Scmuck retracts bid and puts it back so he's sure not to win. Alot of people like to 'play' on eBay, so I realized.

Or, it may as well be good old shill bidding.. The seller's someone on this board, I seriously don't think it's a good idea if it's what he's doing.

Well it seems as though many of you think that I am "shill bidding" my own auctions.Well I would like to assure you all that I am not.

I have emailed this memphis_01 and asked them what they thought they were doing with my some of my auctions.I am yet to recieve a response.

As Snake Grunger stated above new ebayers tend to get carried away and spend more than they can afford. Maybe what is happening at the moment.I guess I won't know until if/when the auction ends with them as the high-bidder.

All I know is that I am extremely annoyed that it is being assumed that I am behind this.it has also made another member of these forums withdrawl from an arranged deal...and it also scares of other potential customers.

If one could assume that I am guilty of shill bidding then one could perhaps assume the same thing about this seller who is a well-known and respected member of the boards.Look at this auction:
ebay auction

Notice the bids by the new ebay user joynerbiz.

Now I do not think for one minute that this seller shill-bidded, however one could notice some striking similarities between this auction and mine.

Anyway, in the end people will think what they want about this and me.All I know is that I never have and never would interfere with my own auctions and if you buy something of me you will not be dissapointed.

If this were to happen to one auction,it would be totally understandable, but four?

What about all the bid retractions?

Fishy indeed....

I understand that you may be sceptical and I myself would be to.

As for the bid retractions, you cannot possibly say that I am in cahoots with memphis_01 who is located in Australia AND jewel*gal who is located in the US?

Anyway, i am not looking to argue this any further.I only wish that all these people who decided to bid-retract, did it on some other seller's items.Because everyone now seems to be jumping on the bandwagon to accuse me of wrong-doing when I haven't done ANYTHING wrong in the first place.
