I just got the new RGB encoder from James.

It's 3.1 Let me tell you this...

THIS ENCODER IS BOSS

NOW the RCA video output rivals that of the S-Video. Cleary some type of Y-Trap was used.

Also there seems to be no "cut out" blue screen when matches end in the KOF games i tested.

It also has a neat cool blue LED.

I would recomend that everyone who has home consolized MVS's and superguns to consider an upgrade, especialy those without s-video...

I haven't tested it that much.... but it seems that improvements have been made as to how it outputs both svid and rca...

BUT RCA HAS A DRASTIC IMPROVEMENT....

If i used RCA on a 3.1, you would swear that it was s-video if you were acusmtomed to the old 3.0....

muhaha good to hear, these new additions sound great not to mention the badass blue LED. Glad you posted this as I am about to order some myself and will make sure to request the 3.1.

The real question is, when will there be an RGB to component card?

RGB isn't ever going to be used in mas in the USA, It's not "Proprietary" enough.

I wonder if it really would be in my best interest to get it, I only use composite but don't want to drop $80 on something that might not justify the expense.

Well i think im definitely going to upgrade to this version if more people can confirm it has superior composite output (Its what im forced to use at the moment).
