Hello, I have been completely unable to find a definitive answer to the following questions...

Do the Jamma PCB's of the new games (choas, MS 5 and KOF) use the same pinout as the MV1-C????

I hear some people saying that it outputs mono and that it ouptuts stereo sound (like a multislot).

Does anyone know anything about the location of the test switch?
Does it require a -5?

I'm building a Compact mvs supergun and would like to make it compatable with Both one slots and the in line jamma boards?

Any help would be greatly apreciated.. If anyone knows where i can get a copy of the manual (of one of the SNK Jamma PCB's)or at least a pinout... that would be helpful.

I believe www.hardmvs.com will have any manuals for MVS systems.

And from my own experience, I used an SVC jamma board in my Candy cab which is wired for MVS.

It played through both speakers which lead me to believe it was stereo, perhaps it was just dual mono. I don't have the actual specs anymore so I can't help you with that.

The test menu can be accessed by turning Dip switch #1 on.

Like I said, I don't have the manual anymore, but the only difference between MVS wiring and the Jamma board wiring was the test switch location on the harness I think. Of course there's other differences because the multi-slot MVS' need the select button, but I had no problems with my cabinet having MVS wiring.

From what lots of others have said that own the board it appears to be mono. You can definitely tell the difference between true stereo and dual mono. I had my consolized mv1c hooked up to my tv and of course it defaults to dual mono, not one speaker. Sucks, would have been cool as I am planning to do the same thing, build another mini sg for the jamma pcbs.

Almost the same pinout.... SOUND is different, because SvC Chaos PCB has mono (argh) sound!

So if it's mono, that would be the same as a mv1-c tho right?

AFAIK, all MVS pcbs bear the same pinout on the jamma edge connector... in other words, all MVS pcbs are stereo... or so I've heard ;-)

MV1C is mono, and to do a stereo mod on it is INSANITY. There is a post about it somewhere and just isnt worth it. Same goes for the MV1FZ i think it is?
