Power Supply Amps Question in an MVS cab..
Does the Amperage matter that's coming out of the power supply..
The new power supply that I bought is +5v 16A, +12v 6A, -5v 05A just like the one below that is recommended at Briggs site..
http://www.hardmvs.com/html/powerSupply.htm Ultimate 150 Watt Power
Supply with External On/Off
http://www.happcontrols.com/powersupplies/80007200.htm
Minus the wire for the external switch thus being just like the Ultimate Power
Supply with On/Off
Switch - 150......... but with the specs of the power supply with the external switch.
My power supply http://img7.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/ps1.jpg
Basically If I tell someone to buy a new power supply should I take the amperage difference into consideration?
Just what is the proper Amps a MVS cab requires or is safe to run at..?
Today I got a spare power supply made by Mega Star..It has the same plugs/connections as the power supplies in the links so It would plug right into an MVS cab..but I don't know it's ok to use or sell as a replacement.
I notice the Specs are different..
It's a 200 Watt Power Supply..+5v 20A, +12v 8A, -5v 05A and what the heck is -12v 05A
Wattage is another question....What about the Wattage..?

Then I have the other power supplies that I believe are from computers ..The specs on them are different.
I've read here that they could be used as a replacement but just how close to the Specs +5v 16A, +12v 6A, -5v 05A should I stay close to..
These Computer power supplies could be very different in amperage/wattage.

(Yes..I'm anal about this stuff..But I never like to steer someone wrong with wrong information)
