This is not a fraud, the first and I dont recall how many of Zodiac 1 (32 mb ram) and Zodiac 2's ( 128 mb ram) were released as " first editions" and they are stamped as that, check out www.tapwave.com.

You are correct, the system with 128 mb of ram and the 32 mb of ram were both sold initially as "limited 1st editions" and stamped prominently on the backside.
