Chat Room Rudeness

Hi,
Im not writing to get enemys or people in bad moods, but while I visit the chat room I get offended just by asking newbie questions.
Im trying to get on with everybody and everybody had to start somewhere.
The main problem is that if people offend me then I bite back but not in a rude manner just slight joke comments are typed by me in return, then the whole room goes against me in an attempt to put hate threats.

I thought most people were adults in here, but I was shocked that they behave like I did when I was 10 years old.

Whoever reads this please do not take offence, but I can see myself not buying from anyone on these boards as I feel that if your not talking there language or giving them money then you get the push for no advanced reason.

Im trying to make friends that share a same interest as what I would like to follow and seem to be getting an oppossite and getting put off from one of my joys in life which is gaming.

I think the most offensive part of this is that most of the people that just blow me out are the Americans, Im born and bread UK english guy and feel that even though when it comes to war the Uk are always behind america, and they act like this in a chatroom.

COME ON GUYS GROW UP!!!!!!!! :shame:

Sadly, a large chunk of this site is 10 years old or acts that way (its really hard to tell the two apart).

Who in particular has been giving you grief?

Well thanks for the fast replys to my thread.
Some of my same thoughts are in the tread I read, like the immature comments I still get in the thread.

In my point if you wish to be rude or whatever why dont you do it to the people you know of or your friends. I dont really ask for it and I thought people could share there thoughts with me without being big headed about there ego with neo geo.

Judge people on an individual level. I can't attest personalyl to the behavior of neo chat, since I can't access it...but seriously if you judged us all by te behaviors of...say...just for example DangerousK it's no wonder you'd think us all extremely immature.

Americans do tend to be a lot rougher than Europeans, Australians, or Asians, but we can be a fun lot as well.

Hi,

This is partly my point, I dont wish to argue or create enemys, But I feel its unfair to the newbies that post or have questions.

I am a big Oasis collecter and always offered help in forums for people with questions.

Its not really a case of pointing fingers etc...otherwise I would of listed the abusive people, but obviously these sort of people let the forums down no matter which country they live we all come accross nasty people and some times you do expect a place like this to just chill, have a laugh and enjoy another part of your collecting.

Welcome to the boards. It's nice to see someone join who wants to get along with everyone. It's a fresh change from the usual new members who flame everyone for no reason.

Try not to take what they do/say to you personally. It's not you in general, but more so the fact you're new.

Not everyone on here acts like that, but the ones who do, you need to just ignore. There are plenty of members on here who are respectful.

People like Rotphungte and Lithy have given me an idea how this board works around.

Stephane is right, there are some assholes everywhere, on any forum.

Do what you please, ask for help, and wait for the correct person to reply, ignore the shit!.

Yeah, unfortunately there is a large population of members who like to compensate for the fact that they're losers in real life by being dicks to random people on the forums. Usually it's toward people who don't know the ropes - they're chickenshit like that.

I can understand joking, and that's perfectly fine, but some people lose sight of just how far removed a chat room is from reality, and take this stuff WAY too seriously.

Just take comfort in the fact that the people doing childish shit like that are usually, in reality, suffering much more dealing with their own shitty lives.
