Has the administration ever considered giving poll power to the people?

As stated, will the common ng.commer ever get the chance to use the poll feature, or will it stay a power of the administration?

Now, who would like for the poll feature to be a option?

I'm pretty sure its been discussed before. The forums would just get spammed up by every member posting a poll.

Yeah...people would just spam the place up with polls all the time.Would be cool but still think about how many there would be!

I could just imagine the humor of the polls if we were allowed to do it. From just me alone i already know i'd be spammin it up with goofy retarded ass polls.

Thats why teh powar is taken from us cuz we'd abuse it.

Well, we could ban SPIN from using them. That would cut down on like 98% of abuse. I have seen other sites have the poll function on, I think if there are enough members who will use it responsibly, it should be worth considering. Anyone else got a opinion?

I don't see why it would be a problem with people spamming. If someone is spamming useless polls outside the war room, then that person should get a warning or banning, just like with other kinds of useless spamming.

How about this, for new years (January 1st, 2004) we will allow all members to create polls on that day (or several days during that period). If it goes well, we may leave this feature on. If it get's out of hand, it will simply be disabled as originally planned.

That doesn't mean that everyone here should create a poll, but rather those who think they have a worthwhile poll may follow through with creation should they wish.

Take this time to decide what poll you would like to create. Feel free to post feedback here as well.

I'm pretty damn sure the war room will be flooded with some retarded polls, it'll be fun to see what some people can come up with.
