Looks good to me.."but" my BAM looks just like yours and it was said to be a boot once..then not to be..
I figure it is a boot because I got it awhile back from ASLAN11

It plays perfectly though.

I would have to "see" the bottom boards solderings to actually say this is a boot..or not..
Pictures tell it all..

Before I'd bid on it I'd want to see them...

It's legit. the maximum # of eproms should be two,one in the EP1 position and the other in the M1 position.

I'm not that sure it is legit... Notice there are roms with the code 96 (AoF 3) while some others have 68 (Power Spikes 2), while, according to the Master List, Puzzle Bobble is 83.

All BAM used power spikes 2 chips...

And what about AoF3? Do them all use them as well? Isn't it pretty strange that, appearently, this BAM doesn't use any BAM chip?

I'm assuming the D96-x chips are original BAM chips. There are only 2 EPROMs so that can't be the entire game.

The other game ROMs I don't know about aside from alot of BAM were created from the factory as Power Spikes 2 conversions.

Not all but many indeed. My PB cart looks exactly as this one. It's a... factory made boot ;)

lol, I was about to say the same thing. And the answer to your question is yes, this is a boot. C'mon guys, It's not rocket science to have boots machine soldered and manufactured in Hong Kong.

No official chips + Not even a single chip with the proper NGH number = bootleg

sorry.

But come on, do the hong kongers really have the equipment to rewrite those roms and have the super exspensive equipment needed for wave soldering?

doubt it - looks legit.

Well, BB and 007, two of the bootleg experts around here say its legit, so im going to call it legit. All of the chips are SNK, there arent any non-SNK chips on the boards.

The D96-x ROMs are mask ROM's. Most bootlegs use EPROMs since a mask ROM has to be programmed at the factory and cannot be changed. Unless some bootleg company has a mask ROM factory, I'm pretty sure its original.

My bootleg BAM is entirely EPROM.

Some of you guys are being rediculaous about this. The game is clearly a bootleg. If you guys honestly believe that any game that isn't made up of eproms is authentic, maybe you need to check all the carts in your collection again. Seriously, It's not like everyone Hong Kong is some piss poor savage running around waving sticks. Real factories exist there you know, and to assume that every bootleg producing company is some sweatshop that contains no real machinery and only handtools is nothing more than a non thought-out illusion. Half the electronics in your house were probably manufactured in Hong Kong, so what makes you think that they could manufacture pretty much everything under the sun, but not maskroms? Once again, the bottom line is, if you don't see officially used chips in your cartridge, then it isn't an official cartridge.

I don't understand this line of thinking - IMO, SNK probably needed another run of bust a move, so they used PROMs from other games because that's all they had on hand. What's so unbelievable about that?
