Evolution Soccer/ Crystal System help

When you plug it in and turn it on, does it go to a green screen, then to two vertical blue lines?

Is that a bad thing? I know the board works because Ive gotten into the hardware test menu and it says Evolution Soccer is in, but nothing happens.

Does it just take a while to boot?

Took me about 30 seconds to first boot when i had my evo soccer, don't worry it take sa while. hah mine even made some crackeling noise, i was scared. no problemo though, she'll start up in a min or so.

I let it sit for more than that it and it doesnt do anything.

I also tried taking off the T connector and plugging it straight into the board (but didnt let it sit for very long because it did the same thing)
