The 007 Agent Under Fire exploit allows you to flash the built in TSOP (bios chip). But, you still have to open the system up and solder across atleast 2 sets of points (might be more - depends on revision of system). This allows the TSOP to be flashed.

You would still need to have access to a modded XBox, so that the special exploit file can be copied to a memory card...or have someone copy it to it for you.
I have used this method to flash the TSOP on my first Gen, release day XBox and it works great.
