Ok lads, I have only had to make 2 other posts in the entire 3, almost 4 years that I have been on neo-geo.com about bad buyers/sellers. I have been lucky.

However- we have a new nOOb buyer to look out for!

And after much long deliberation when I had taken the time to explain in full detail about the system, exchange of pictures and other such NooB questions such as:

What is a BIOS?
It's a U.S. system, so what is it's default language?
What does a language switch do?
ect...ect..

Andy decided that he would purchase the neo:

"I want to buy it, do you have any games to sell also?"

Upon the agreement to sell and purchase, I get the following email:

"Can I send you a depost, and then you send me the system? Then after I get it I can send you the rest of the payment?"



After pondering this, I decided that since he was a nooB, and seems really interested in the neo I would cut him a deal and accept partial payment now, followed by the remainder of the payment and then I would ship. Andy agreed:

This weekend I returned to discover 2 new emails in my inbox:

"Is the system US by default?"

A minty AES with box, styrofoam and two old controllers? With a language switch? That's a very reasonable price, so I don't see what he was complaining about..

I think $300 for a boxed and complete system in excellent condition is more than fair.

I did a trade with this guy a few months back,and what I got in return,was an experience similar to yours.

What I got was a game that was in worse condition than described. The poor packaging job didn't help,neither,as the game suffered more damage while in transit.

I thought to myself "No biggie,this isn't the end of the world".

A few weeks later,he posted a negative feedback about our trade in one of my threads,stating that I sent him a defective game,trying to flip the script.

Now,I'm the bad guy..go figure

Yea...I forgot about that.

I would have NEVER agreed to it, but imagine if I had sent him the system and then he changed his mind about how much he thought I was over-charging?

Sorry to hear about your deal going sour - if you say that nintendospy is a shitty trader then I'd have to take your side by default.

When I first started on the forums... I was in talks with another user to sell them a supergun..... They scoffed when i told them they would at least have to put my materials cost up front. But it worked out because I later found that they didn't have the cash to buy something else.... I woulda gotten screwed.

That's why in all cash transactions, I ask for the full fee up front.

Nintendospy added to my block list.

I am running the MS5 preorder campain and this guy CAN sign up (as can ANYONE), but he will have to send payment 30 days before in full or he will NOT be included.

There is nothing wrong with spies, you'll not find a blemish on me as a buyer or a seller.

This guy sounds like a comedian though, I've had plenty 'buyers' like him lately.

Yeah, I had a problem with nintendospy too. He asked me to hold some games for him that I was selling cause he was going to get back to me the next day.Of course he never got back to me and after sending him a pm he said he didnt want them anymore. Thats the least he could have done was let me know that he didnt want them anymore, I had people interested in them that moved on because I was holding them.

You never told me you were going to sell it to someone else, I never lied to you, and I'd send $100 so I know that I'm not gonna get ripped off, which has been done here on this site a few times.

I told you that I wouldn't have shipped you the system until you made the full payment.

How would you sending $100 first, then the rest later on before I shipped the system prevent you in any way of getting ripped off by me? -which would never happen.
