Candy 4 slot cabinet

Looks like im gonna go for a candy 4 slot cab that ive seen, im importing from the US and was wondering if anyone can tell me the power rating on the psu, i need to know volts and amps so i can get a stepdown with the appropiate VA rating.

Stepdown is good but if you import a candy cab. (which I belive is going to cost ou a lot) why not directly buy a new power supply?

Just switch the power supply inside he cab. and you cna leave it plugged all the time, even when it is off (something I would not do with a stepdown converter).

I dont believe the cost is that hight to import, anyone from the UK ever bought one of these internally and if so how much did you pay?
And i never throught the PSU would be switchable

I live in USA up in Alaska. It cost me all together around $700 & about a month to get my cab shipped up to me. I can just imagine how much it will cost to ship to you? Where are you getting the Candy cab from? There is a place closer to you in Germany that sells Candy cabs, all you have to do then is get a 4 slot motherboard & your in business. I think the sellers name is Arcade Ricks. He has a online store, not sure what the address is. I'm not sure if I helped any, just throwing in my 2 cents worth I suppose. Laters...

Is this his ebay auction ID? I would be interested in tracking this guy down as the shipping costs would be a lot better. But i could get the machine here for around $750 including shipping from the states

You dont need to run a step down convertor here in the states. all of the Japanese power supplys work just fine without them. My SC-19 still has its factory or at least factory cert replacment Japanese supply in it and Ive been using the crap out of it since 99/2000 and its never skipped a beat. Sure our ac runs rated too 110 but in reality it never gets close to that. But if you feel better just buy any repop supply for any standard Jamma board from Happ or Peter Chow , but its really not a nescessity at all

The 4 and 6 slots do use a bit more juice than the 1 and 2 slots but even that isnt an issue , so dont sweat it.


Heck Im even running a extra 12V 80mm fan off of mine { which taxes the ps quite a bit } and I still have no issues. Pics in my sig link bye the way.
