Quick question about making my own NEO Joystick...

Hey Guys.
Ill make this as quick as possible, as i know there are so many links around, but I just havent found an answer...

I have a 15 pin male cable, and i have this website: http://www.gamesx.com/controldata/neocont.htm
It tells me the pinout of the wires and the corresponding pins. My question is, do the colors vary in all these cable, or are they same universally? (probably a dumb question. But i cant tell which cable is from which pin, so i cannot move forward.

I woulnt trust the cables to be all the same colors.... that's just me....

You have the cables with the long end right? normal dsub-15 females wont fit.

There's no universal code at all for this cables, I've seen several different ones. You should use a multimeter to make continuity tests between the wires and the pins, thus discovering which corresponds to each one.
