I would like to buy a new Isolation Transformer for the Tekken 3 cab...

It works fine but it looks old..

I can't find any info on the internet..

Anyone know of a site that sells them..or...
Link Please..

The way to match these up is by reading the numbers on the top of the Isolation Transformer yes..?

Chris.
If you dont like the look of the transformer why not spray it or something. We all get anal about our game shit OK, but an old looking isolation transformer is not a real worry.

That's a good idea..Thanks..

I feel better now that after you say "an old looking isolation transformer is not a real worry"

Yea,I mean in the sense of it being old as degraded and it looks like its brown(rusty color around the windings..
Like if it was in some sort of moisture at one time..
It had some corrosion on the connections.

I couldn't understand why it's like that because everything else inside the cab looks clean..
The board doesn't have a bit of dust on it and everything else is super clean.
It's just this part that looks really old..It may have put in there to get the cab going or replaced with a old spare part.
The monitor is clean and clear..it's just this one part that looks older then anything else.
I was woring about it burning out or not working properly later..

I was hoping they were dirt cheap and I could pick one up locally with a Electrical store, maybe even Radio Shack..?

It works ok..
I would like to know how to test it with the meter though..

Dont worry about testing it Chris.
If it was faulty you would know about it. Believe me. With a regular test meter all you can measure are the primary and secondary voltages which should be identical being an isolation transformer 1:1. If there was a short in the windings a fuse would blow or if no fuse fitted a breaker on the switch board.
If you suspect current leakage to the transformers metal case then a mega meter is required. This special meter generates a very high voltage, thousands of volts in order to detect insulation brake down, like in the case of corrossion or moisture.
Dont bother going to the trouble, the transformer may look shitty but the chances are 99.9% recuring that its perfectly OK and safe.
