why doesnt the rest of kof play like 98?

with the exception of 2002 i havnte played that one.the music, gameplay is awsome in 98 did the same people behind this gem make 99 2000 2001?it doesnt make sense if they did its like if they to a step backward instead of foward.

well 2000 is a good game in my opinion, 2001 was not made by snk which is why it sucks. um kof 96.98 are very similar. i love those the most. kof98 was snk at there best, don't think we can expect such a good kof ever again. :crying:

I don't know, but I assume the same dev team did KoF 99 and 2000... If it wasn't the exact same team, there had to be a lot of people in common, at least.

And while KoF 98 was cool, they were probably trying to make the post-98 games feel different and fresh, rather than re-using the KoF 98 engine...

im playing '98 on my supergun right now, i always wonder why they fucked up terrys moves on '99, it piss's me off. i bet if they reused the '98 engine NOONE would complain since its perfect.

Do you mean his power wave ? They just decided to switch to the RB2 version of it...

I like both, so I don't mind...

But I thought it was cool to be able to do "old style" power waves by using the A button...

So, apart from that, what got "fucked up" with him ?

Kof 98 sucks ass and real bout special made 2 years earlier kills it. I truly hope other kof's are better. which one has the best backrounds besisdes 99. :buttrock:

I do think there is one problem in KOF 98 is some characters are overpowered. I wish they wouldn't delete moves, but rather add moves to the other wimps to match up to the tougher opponents.

On a side note: I'd rather charge for Terry's raison tacko (I'm aware of the alt character), but other than that, I'm not a big fan of Kim post 98, Leona is badass in KOF 98, and countless others seem to be at their peak in 98.
