ok, after putting it off for months, i have finally re-wired a sould edge conversion (was a rampage universal tour) to house my 1 slot mvs and did the jumper fix for rotd. well, upon firing it up, i noticed the top of the screen (very top, above where any life bars would be) the screen distorts everything to the right.

ex:
//////////

||||||||||

any ideas what could cause this? it is happening to all my mvs games (won't be able to try it with anything else till later tonight.

thanks

Try adjusting the horizontal hold. Depending on the monitor type there should be an adjustment pot, maybe on a sub pcb along with the hight, vert hold , brightness etc.

Ive found that different boarsets may have slightly different sync/horizontal timebase characteristics, one may play perfectly while another may require a slight adjustment of the monitor horizontal freq.

You might need to adjust the hori size, that knob is a bit harder to find. That was a problem with a CPS1 board I had.
