I managed to get the Tekken 3 cab in here today by taking off the control panel..(It took awhile and I'm beat).
I may be bringing something else in here this week but I need to find the dimensions of a Candy Neo 25 machine.

The Tekken 3 sort of looks like this..
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
My Control panel is the same as above but the marquee panel is silver with speakers in the front and the sides are white with Art.

I have to put it back together..I took out the board and power supply before I moved it.(too tired tonight)

What I would like to know is if this machine is Jamma..?

Can I plug other boards into this harness like a Revision 1 Hyper 64 board?
Or an STV..?..1 Slot Neo Geo Mother board..?
The damn control panel is so big I may be even able to put the Trackball in it for the Irritating maze.

The Cab has a small extra harness that connects to the board it's blue..
I don't really know how this machine works..I know I can convert it to other Namco games but what else?

If I have to I'll hook up another wiring harness in it to make it straight Jamma..But If this is already then I don't need to.
I looked online for information but I didn't find much..
I don't really care if it's Tekken 3 or not..

(note)..I bought this Cab,stuck it in storage and never searched for information on it..Anything will be of help.:help:

This is what the board looks likeMinus the wires soldered on the connectors.(my board doesn't have those wires)
I know it says Jamma..
But what is the other smaller connection for.

It's JAMMA using a kickharness for buttons 4 - 6, usally connected to the System 12 board's auxilliary connector.

Rewiring to use either button as a fourth neobutton from the JAMMA harness should be an easy hackjob

Hmm..
Looking at the picture I provided I notice I only have 4 buttons to use for fighting on each side..not 6 like the picture.

Tekken only uses 4 buttons, so yours is accurate. The one in the picture must have been a SF2 or something at one point. On the System 10,11,12 PCB's the second connector is for extra buttons and the right speaker output(left is standard JAMMA).

Converting it to use MVS or other 3 button JAMMA games will be VERY easy. For the standard JAMMA stuff, just swap the board. For the 4th MVS button just run extra wires from the 4th button to the correct place on the JAMMA harness(leave the 2nd Namco connector wired to it as well...it won't hurt anything).

Sweet!!!
You may have made my night..Thank you so much.
I've been searching the internet all night trying to find info.

I just want to pop the STVs in this..The Rev 1 Hyper 64 and a 1 slot..

I mainly want to put the STV in it since I've been getting a lot of that stuff and I hate to keep putting it/them in the Neo cab..

Hi Chris,

So you finally decided to mess around with your Tekken 3 cab, have fun ;)

And yes, The Tekken 3 board is actually a JAMMA+ board. it has the standard JAMMA harness connector plus the extra harness connector for player's one and two fourth button, and the right speaker.

That picture that you supplied of the Tekken 3 cab, is a convertion from an old 4-player cab. Hence, you can see the two coin doors. This type of convertion is very popular since those old 4-player cabs have a nice 25-inch monitor and a large control panel to work with.

Have fun and keep us updated.

Thank you so much Charles..

I think the cab I have is a conversion,It sort of looks like the one in the picture(that's the only pic I could find). It's got two speakers on top with a silver plate..Or then this may have been a generic cab and someone bought the Tekken 3 kit and installed it.
In the center it says Tekken 3 and the control panel is huge.
The Control panel overlay is there.
The moves list are there, and the Character face art is on it's sides..
The board looks brand new, like it was replaced...It looks much better than everything else.

I'm going to take pictures of it after I put it all back together and clean it up...It's looking pretty ugly right now..

I still have to bring home the"big"glass, and the Coin door with wood...tomorrow..
The bottom front of this cab is detachable
It needs some touch up on the paint too..etc..
I may just paint the sides black, though they will never been see where it's at.
I'm not looking for real prettiness right now,I'll fix it up in time..
The one thing I do have is time..and I just want to get it up and running.

I don't know..what I'm going to do..I'm supposed to be getting another cab this week that I'm sure to buy..But I won't say until it's here...I might make this Tekken 3 into a various board cab with the Tekken 3...and I could also get some other Namco boards.
I could put the Irritating maze Track Ball right in the center of this control panel and still have room to play the Tekken..
I also could paint the whole cab black, put on the blue SNK side art etc..and make it an Irritating Maze Conversion.
I don't know yet..I'm taking it day by day..
I found a empty smaller generic cab that will fit the 25"monitor etc for $100.00 but I really don't need it..it would save room but then I'm sitting with a wasted big empty cab.
This cab is huge and it takes up a lot of room..I have it side by side with the Neo..
The hugeness of this cab may pay off though..There is a lot of room in there to put other boards..
If I get the third cab I want it to be for STV,1 Slot MVS and Hyper 64..

Once I put it all back together, clean it up and fire this baby back up I'll know which route I want to take with it.
I know one thing though,it's here to stay now.

Hey!! A Super Mario Marquee!
Alright!!! :D

Yea.. : )
I used to have it on the Wall to the left, then I moved it there.
I have to change them around, behind the Tekken machine there are 12 other Large marquees that I need to move now.

When I used to just have the Big Red in that corner you could see all the marquees, now the wall is not seen with the machine there...
The hardest part is moving the machine again to get at them..It's one Heavy mo fo..

I changed the buttons today to Red,Yellow,Green,Blue..But I'm really not sure of the right sequence.
