hello, i got a neo geo aes console thats a us system and the power supply i got with it has a switch on it for 110v and 240v, is it possible to use this power unit on a neo geo cd, as i want to get a neo cd so i can get hold of cheaper cd games, yet all the ones i find on ebay are either us or jap versions with a 110v power supply.
Thanks for any help.

In a word no!

Where the wire plugs into the back of the back of the cd machine is different to an AES.It is like a smaller gamecube style socket, totally different to the one on the back of the AES which is the same as on a megadrive,pe-engine,snes......

There are a few UK PAL cd machines knocking about but just buy an import machine and get a stepdown converter so you can use the 110v psu on our uk 240v system.

I have a USA neo cd top loading model and I don't need a stepdown as the power supply can change between 110V and 240V.

Yes and I forgot to say that I use a shaver adapter also, but I play the games in 60Hz with no boarders. Didn't want a UK machine as hate boarders.

I have about 3 different AES psu's.One jap and a US one both need to be run through a stepdown and the Euro 110/240 switchable one that needs to be ran through a shaver converter too.

Baseley c'mon m8,it'll only take you 2 mins to get it to run 60hz,get it done man,get it done.60hz ahoy then m'lad :make_fac:
