I used to have a 50xxx JP AES adn I had terrible rainbows w/o svid. I am now getting a 330xxx US AES and was wondering if it will have rainbows as well or if SNK fixed the problem by this time. I dont want Svid on this new system since I hear that Svid is terrible with newer AES's.

No thanks Res, I don't even own the system yet.

Kid A, aren't the rainbows minimal with higher serial number systems though?

Rainbows are always there with composite. Although on some systems they scroll very fast, so they aren't as noticeable. This screen is from an early US system with the daughterboard fix.

I thought the daughter board was to get rid of the rainbow effect?

No, it just gets rid of the really shitty composite out of the early systems. Colors bleed all over the place without the fix.

My colors look fine for like the first 15 after I turn it on, but then the colors start bleeding. Would you guys mind if I send some pictures of my board's wiring for you to trouble shoot? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
