I just bought a MVS game on the forum.
I received it today, but the sound doesn't work...
All my other games work fine on my board.
I I have tried to clean the connectors on the cartidge but it doesn't help...
Do you have any suggestions?
This is driving me nuts
Thanks
Ok..Some questions that may define your problem..
What game is it..?
Could the game be a bootleg,,?
What type of MVS board do you have..?How many slots.?
The carts boards may be warped or warping..
Take a look at the carts connectors ends and see if it looks warped...(put a ruler next to them)
Try leaving out the two screws closest to the connectors.(incase of warping)
Don't push the cart all the way in..leave it out a little...(Push it all the way in and pull it out a bit.)
Clean the connector prongs on your mother board..
Some games don't use the same spots to make connection.
Last Resort/"Power off"!!..Open the cart..Take the boards out as they would go in your MVS if they were in the cart and put them in the mother board(no case)..Still Power off!!
Make sure they don't touch each other..and Power it up..
What are you cleaning the connectors with..?
I open most of my carts and clean every connector to a golden shine using dry Green Scotch Brite.
If you have more than 1 slot on your board put the cart in by itself..and try it in other slots..
Certain mixtures of games put in at the same time can cause the sound to go out on certain games..
Measure your Voltage coming out of the power supply using a meter.
