Strikers 1945 Plus problems

So I just bought a copy of Strikers 1945 Plus for NGH, and after playing it a few times, I'm getting frequent graphical and/or sound glitches.

I'm quite sure it's not my system, as I get the exact same result on two different NGH systems. On top of that, all my other NGH carts work perfectly on this system.

Also, I've already cleaned the contacts on the cartridge, and that didn't seem to make a difference.

Anybody out there got any suggestions? I'm stumped.

Obviously, what you've got is a conversion (a MVS game unofficially turned into an AES game), and if it is not well done then it's normal to experience glitches. Anyway, I think we are not alowed to talk about that stuff here anymore...

My suggestion is that you get a MVS board and the true MVS version of this game. Simple as that. I guarantee it will work 100% so problem solved. I take paypal, thanks. :mr_t:

I've found that the most common cause for glitches like that in my MVS carts (don't own a home system) is bad solder joints on the ROMs. Both my Andro Dunos and Blazing Star carts were like that when I got them, and now work perfectly after resoldering a few loose pins.

Of course, if this is a conversion, there could be any number of other issues. It's worth a shot, though.

I have the same problem with my cart on my phantom-1. It works fine on a one slot board and on my friends newer model neo but gives me problems on my system. I just figured it was the slots on my system. It's the only game I have that gives me problems but I guess it only takes one bad connection on one pin to do it. Try cleaning your system really good.

Maybe you bought a conversion from !Arcade! . Has it got an manual? !Arcade!-Strikers got one. It sounds very similar to a problem someone else had before with a Strikers-con. Maybe you bought his old cart that passed though several hands allready.., mysterious. I think the best is to ask Arcade for fixing it or give it back to the seller.

Yeah it does have a manual - is that the hallmark of an !Arcade! Strikers 1945 Plus conversion? I've noticed that many conversions of this game don't come with a manual.

I'm going to send it off to J. Kurtz - hopefully it's something minor. You don't remember the screen name of the person who was complaining about their strikers copy do you?

The guy I bought it from said it never did that before - and there's no way to prove otherwise - so I'll just assume it happened in the mail or something and try to get it fixed.

Anyway, thanks for your help Large.

It's the only Strikers con I ever saw with a manual. The cover format is like KOF 2k (lying on the side).

Probably some loose ics, I guess. And yes, I remember the name. It was MarcoRossi. But after he found out about the sound problems, he returned it to the seller.

You're welcome. Have a nice weekend!
