I need to know what companies make a standard / medium res. monitor switchable between standard res. and medium res. I know that such beasts live because I have heard of them before, but I can not remember the company that made them. If I can remember correctly it was a Japanese company and they were installed in Japanese sit down cabs. Can someone please help?

Hantarex do, NeoTec do, Wells Gardner do, but the best of the best is Nanao.

Its what all Japanese cabs use, superior picture. They also have the Nanao Tri-Sync on top of the range sit-downs and that is auto-syncing OSD (Onscreen display) from std, med and hi-res (VGA).. They cost a lot of money though..

Thanks for the replies fellas. I have a Wells Gardner K7200 right now running in my cabinet and I have been very pleased with it. Bought it brand new so its nice to play on a monitor that you are the only one who has used it. Do you know what models have a switchable mod on them? I have looked at their web site before and I have never seen them maybe I just over looked them.

Because you are located in the US, phone WellsGardner in Chicago, and ask to speak to Karen (I think that is her name), and see if you can get a deal on the WG9200 monitor, it is a 27" beast, and has support for Std, Med and VGA for Naomi/PC.

It has OSD (onscreen display) and is very nice apparently. I think they sell refurbished ones for around $400.

I looked at Wells Gardner's web site and checked out the WG9200 got in touch with them about the monitor and I can get one from around $450.00. I may look into going that way so I can run more then just standard res. JAMMA games. Thanks fellas.
