Has anyone had problems with Matrimelee and a MV1 board? I had major resetting problems...

Also, if my MV1 has a socket bios, is the changing of the bios just a matter of unplugging the old, and inserting the new?

Thanks.

Yes, to change the bios you just need to pull out the old an insert the new. Easy as pie.

Do MV-1 specific issues also happen on the MV-1A?

All I can say is that ROTD (that also suffered a lot of trouble in many boards) worked OK in my MV1A.

Do I have to be an electronics engineer or a solder wiz to make this modification?

Where can I buy the bios chip? Is the chip at the Neo Store the very chip I need?

Read my lips:

NO. MORE. SOLDERING.

As it is socketed, you just need to pull it out with your very fingers, maybe using a flat screwdriver to help.

The bios you need is the unibios . You can order it there, or download it and have it burnt yourself, any electronics store should be able to do that for you.
