I Built my first consolized neo-geo it works almost perfect. The problem it has is that every time im playing metal slug 3 for a few mins it locks up. By locks up i mean that the game frezzes and the music keeps playing it is the same effect as you would get from fliping the 8th dip switch. I tried this about 10 times it usally locks up in level 2 and almost always on the bossa few times I could get to level three before the lockup hit.

I first tried flip the 8th dip switch on and off but it did nothing to correct the problem.

Second thing If figured was that Voltage was too low so i hooked up my Computer PSU that powers my arcade cab to the Neo-geo and it had the same problem as my Jameco tabletop PSU.

At this point i pulled out the conolized jamma connector from the neo-geo and plugged it back in the arcade cab's jamma connector and played thought the whole game of metal slug 3 without any problems.

All my other games play fine which enclude
Metal Slug 1
Samurai Shodown 2
Samurai Shodown 4
Rage of the Dragons
Last Blade 1

My Board is a two slot with the original US BIOS and im using a hacked genesis pad plugged into the controller ports

Now im out of guesses and need your guys help!

Not sure whats wrong with your Metal Slug 3, I have recently build 4 consolized 2 slot systems using the Jameco Table Top Power Supply and they all work perfect!

Mabey you have yourself a bootleg Metal Slug 3? I have a MS3 game and it works perfect in all of my MVS boards, consolized or in the Jamma Cab.

Try cleaning your cart slots and cart itself.

Im pretty sure the cart is legit and it came in a kit that was like new, it definately the cleanest cart I own next to ROTD. Ive tried reinserting it a few times with no luck. But still thanks for the input.

Anybody thing that i could mis grounded a wire from the JAMMA connector or may be the PCB likes the wooded insides of the cab.
Or maybe the controller is too badly wired?

Wow I found the problem it was a controller that I wired so half-assed that when ever I had to press the (A) button really fast it would lockup for some reason. I just got a Neo-Playstation Controller Adapter and no problems after that!
