I received a misdescribed neo geo system. I paid by paypal and I have filed paypal claim form. Do I have a chance to get my money back? On paypal website, it says followings:

To have your claim reviewed by PayPal the following requirements must be met:

The item you purchased was never received. The Buyer Complaint process only covers items that were never received. Complaints regarding items that were received in a state other than what was described in the listing will appear on the seller's record

Does this mean disdescribed item is not covered by Paypal? What should I do?

Thanks,
Gemen

PayPal sells this buyer's protection policy at a percentage depending on how much the item cost right before you pay. This protection policy they sell will give you the opportunity to be refunded by PayPal if you're not satisfied for any reason.
If you refuse to purchase the protection, you forfeit the right to return merchandise based on what you believe is an inaccurate description.

I didn't buy this option. Hmmm, so there is no way I can get my money back... I remember to see a thread about "selling misdescribed goods on internet is criminal".

In my case, there are not much thing I can do, is this right?

Have you contacted the seller?????
The first thing you sould always do when having a problem is contact the seller. Maybe you can work something out... Alot of sellers will work with you even if you bought it "sold as is".

How is the item described? What is wrong with it?

Is it an ebay auction? If so, sharing the link would be helpfull.

I have been talking to the seller in last 3 days and so far we don't have a point that we can meet. Well, I will keep trying hard to work out this thing with him. If it doesn't turn out good, I will describe more about it.

Thanks.

That's not a bad idea but I read somewhere that Paypal frowns on that practice and it is possible they will terminate your account with them.

Bb is correct.

The way to get Paypal to kick ass for you is to have pictures of the item hat show deception and also to have a written agreement that if the item is not to your lking you will return it for refund (minus shipping both way).

Sort of that you're chances are 50/50.

Thank you for all helps. Seller had replied to my emails now, which is good. And we seem can have a solution for the problem. I have included the pictures in my paypal claim form, and I also talked to my CC. I will let you guys know how it goes later.
