How can I get my old* account back?

* by old, I mean the account I created, but never had the chance to use because I screwed up after creating it.

Explanation:

Back in september I made my original account, http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/member.php?s=&action=getinfo&userid=6539, so I could post on a NGPC forum item. Unfortunately, I made two small errors which combined to create one big headache.

Error #1: I changed my password, but misstyped it, because there wasn't a "type in twice to confirm password" feature in the create account page at that time.

Error #2: Like I do with most forums I post to, I added "NOSPAM"s to my e-mail address, but I changed my email at the same time that I changed my (now incorrect) password.

Big Headache: I don't know my (now incorrect) password and I can't use the "send password" feature because it goes to a bogus address.

Can anyone help me?

I just took a look at it and I see absolutely no problem. Did you forget the password or something?

I did not forget my password, I already told you what the problem was...
Once I log in, the board won't load or will eventually say to try again later.

By the way, can moderators rename accounts ? That would help solving the problem another way.

No, we won't rename your account. Just pick one and we'll delete the other. You're not supposed to have multiple accounts anyways.

If I have more than one account, it's not because I thought it'd be fun to make one more, but because one just stopped working at some point.
I just have one -working- account... This one.

And must I understand you can rename accounts but just won't ? ¬_¬

Have you tried dumping your cookies? I mean, your account looks like like every other regular member's.

Yeah, I did clear my cookies... Didn't work.
Are you able to log into other people's accounts ? This way you'd see yourself it is fucked up.

Oh well, I'll just stick to this one.

I just tried from another PC, and it worked... :cool:

So I guess it'll work with mine too...

Although, there doesn't seem to be a "log out" option on this board system... So how to switch between accounts without having to delete ALL my cookies ?

there's a log out function a the bottom of the main forums page.

I didn't notice... So I just deleted the neo-geo.com cookie file manually.
